The Goba meteorite, the largest meteorite ever believed to have been found, is located in Namibia. It is believed that the meteorite came to earth about 80,000 years ago, but was found relatively recently, in 1920, completely by accident of course. The find is interesting in that there is no crater around the meteorite and it is literally on the surface of the earth. Simply put.
