As you might have seen, Memes Token recently pumped thanks to some tweets about memes. Those short-term price increases are nice, but stable price increases come from adding value and utility. Well, we are happy to announce we will release Banterr v0.3.0 tomorrow! 🥳
Some of the updates include an up/down voting system, a simple user profile page, and under-the-hood performance/security upgrades. Additional updates will come regularly with change logs provided in our socials.
Memes Token and its long-term value will largely depend on Banterr’s performance, which will depend on two main things:

Hello everyone,
As you might know, we value transparency and want to clarify our plans for the dev wallet tokens (~30%). These tokens will be divided into four equivalent amounts (7.5% each):
📊 Marketing - Ads: 📊
The dev wallet will be used in part for Banterr marketing. We currently have some BNB available to be used in priority. Unspent BNB will be allocated to the "CrossChain" bag (see below).
🧑🎨 Marketing - Contests: 🧑🎨
We will regularly create content contests with prizes in MEMES (during the BETA and once V1.0 is released).
🌐 CrossChain: 🌐
We might pursue cross-chain support to allow MEMES transactions on alternative blockchains (not yet formally planned). MEMES not used for this purpose will be burned.

Update 0.5.0 is launching in two parts to allow additional testing of incoming features. Stay tuned for the second half of this update!
A project’s value is the value of its product, in our case the social network application Banterr. A social network’s value is related to the platform and user interactions. Banterr already boasts the standard features of its competitors and will continue to be improved through regular updates.
However, Banterr needs a boost in users and interactions.
Here is our action plan and we ask for your participation to make it a success:
- Invite potential users: Share the application with your friends and on your socials. Be proud of being a pioneer in this adventure!
- Create quality content as regularly as possible: Please be twice as active as you would normally for a few months. During this time we will gain users and content will increase naturally.

This was a ton of work for Pwned as he had to rework the entire back-end including new decentralised storage, to pin our data for faster loads and even greater persistence. A big thanks to him!
This release includes:
- a huge back-end improvement that will in short improve stability, speed and decrease cost of the app
- mentions in comments (notification incoming)
- image and GIF in comments
- other bug fixes (see the change-log on discord to get the full list)

🥳 Activity on Banterr has increased with each new release!
😍 Thanks to all the new members who are interacting with the app. Banterr has been welcoming new users who are no doubt attracted by the growing community and project utility.
📚 We are entering a new chapter defined by both app development and community growth.
📉 In response, we will soon reduce the buy/sell tax (initially increased to protect from P&D) from 9% to 6%.
Reminder: the aim is to eventually reach a 4% tax when all features are live.

We’re now focused on making some further improvements before moving it into production!
Following the long-term roadmap, we are also planning a migration to Ethereum. The reason for this is that our token (as well as our dApp) lacks decentralization while operating on Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
Our plan is to make an ETH/MEMES pool in Ethereum and to host Banterr in Arbitrum Nova. This way, users can enjoy the benefits of low fees when interacting with Banterr and full decentralization when buying/selling/holding MEMES.
Banterr will have tools to swap tokens, making it easier for new users to swap between chains.
You will only need to swap tokens if you wish to Award/Mint Posts. Commenting and posting will continue to be free and no wallet will be needed.
