How do I deal with the fear of alienating friends by being public about this?

How do I deal with the fear of MAKING friends and ending up overcommitted?

How do I make the switch to seeing this as OUR network and OUR cause that's an integral part of my life and mission, rather than something I kindly take time out of my busy day for before going back to my own priorities?

How do I get over uncomfortable or guilty feelings about asking sick people for help? How do I help other people get over those feelings?
