I spent 11 years coaching people before realising I was making one big mistake:
I kept doing the thinking for them.
They left each call with an answer, but returned the next week with another question.
Across 150+ clients and 1,200+ students, I’ve identified 5 levels of coaching, training and mentorship.
Most people stop at Level 1.
Click here for the full 5 levels & breakdown so you can use it yourself.
P.S. I also compiled my favourite coaching questions for each level into a simple checklist.
It works whether you’re a coach, trainer, leader, manager, or simply want to support people better.
Reply #checklist and I’ll send it to you for free.

I was an investment trainer, and it worried me.
Not the market itself. What worried me was watching people lose money they had spent years earning, and it usually wasn't because the strategy they learned was wrong.
They just couldn't execute it. Some of that was psychology, some of it was skill, and most of them quietly assumed the second part would come free.
I've been thinking about that a lot lately, because plenty of people I speak to are nervous about their jobs right now.
When someone gets nervous about their income, they tend to look at two doors. Start something of their own, or learn to trade their money.
The strange part is how many of them call the first door risky and the second one safe.
Both of them carry real risk. That isn't the useful distinction.
The useful one is how much you actually control. In your own business you choose who you work with, what you sell, what you charge, how you market it, and how hard you push in any given month.
In the market you put your money down and wait. You can be completely right about a company and still lose for reasons nobody saw coming.
I'm not against investing, and I invest myself. But if you're deciding where to put your next 12 months of effort, put it somewhere your effort actually changes the outcome.
✅ Most people aren't bad at business. They've just never tried the version where they get to set the rules.

This came out of a podcast I recorded with May Sim, Asia's top Western astrologer. She's privately consulted and taught hundreds of established entrepreneurs, senior people inside Fortune 500 companies like Facebook, and government associations, and tens of thousands of people have sat through her forecast events.
We spent an hour on where AI is really heading, what's shifting across the markets and industries, and the skills worth building before things get shaky.

Found out today that Baby K has hand, foot & mouth disease.
He’s currently resting at home now after the doctor’s visit, but the funny thing is:
Even though he had fever & vomitted 2 nights in a row, he was still happy, playing & cheerful throughout!
I wanted to remind all of you on this lesson that I've been sharing over the past week:

The biggest problem with Tony Robbins' programs & other seminars isn't what happens at the event. It's what happens after.
I say that as Tony Robbins' #1 affiliate in Asia in 2019. I sold $100K worth of tickets in a single two-week campaign. I still go to his events, and in August 2022 I attended Business Mastery, a USD$10,000 program.
So this isn't an attack on him, or on his events. I genuinely love them.
You leave on a high. Every idea makes sense, every strategy feels obvious, and for a few days you feel like a completely different entrepreneur.
Then you get home, and nothing actually changes.
I lived that exact loop for about five years before I started Master Implementers. Seminar after seminar, and I'd go home inspired every single time.
I implemented almost nothing. I built nothing.
I've said this before on my own channel: you can learn every tactic and strategy in the world, but if you don't master what's internal, your beliefs and your mindset, you'll never succeed.
✅ Information and inspiration don't change a business, only implementation does.
That's the whole reason Master Implementers exists. Not to give you one more strategy to collect, but to help you build on what's already natural to you, and actually install it.
You don't need another event.
You need to implement the one you just left.

The Tony Robbins Book I Read Before Dad Passed
My dad passed in 2017, and something about how I handled it still surprises people when I tell them.
I wasn't emotionally crushed.
I know how that sounds. Most people expect grief to look a certain way, and when mine looked different, a few assumed I was in denial. I wasn't.
The real reason goes back further than that day. Before my dad passed, I'd already read Tony Robbins' Unlimited Power, back in my army days, during free time in the bunk. One idea from that book never left me. He wrote that in some cultures, people actually celebrate when a loved one passes, not because the loss doesn't matter, but because it's all about how you respond.
That idea had already been tested by the time my dad passed. In an earlier hard season with someone I love, I'd already decided to be the one who walked in with something to lift them, not something to lean on them for. So when my dad passed, being the light for the people around me wasn't new. It was already how I showed up.
When family and friends came, I found myself thanking them instead of falling apart in front of them. That was gratitude, not distance.
I still believe gratitude is the most powerful emotion we get to choose. You cannot be grateful and resentful in the same breath. And so, when life hands me that choice, gratitude is the one I keep reaching for.
It's also why, when I work with entrepreneurs today, we always start with the inner game before any strategy or system. What you build follows how you respond.

My entire audience was a few hundred friends. I still won.
In 2019, Tony Robbins, Dean Graziosi and Russell Brunson opened their new program to affiliates. A USD$2,000 product, 50% commission.
The application form asked for my follower count. The dropdown went up to a million. I had a few hundred, and most of them were my friends.
I applied anyway, because the most I could get was a no.
No list and no ad budget, but I offered one thing nobody else did. Sign up through my link and I'll send you my notes from the whole training.
Two weeks later I was top 40 in the world and number one in Asia.
Nothing I did that fortnight needed permission, a budget, or an audience. It needed me to decide that a no was survivable.

The happier I got, the more I made (here's how).
In March 2024, I was making roughly $50,000 a month. On paper, I'd made it.
That same month, I sat in my bedroom and cried. I'd already prepared my resume. I nearly quit.
The business was working. I wasn't.
I was grinding a model that was never built for me.
So I rebuilt, slowly. I let revenue drop on purpose while I found what fit me, and three things carried it.
Gratitude, on purpose, daily. Tony Robbins once called it the most powerful emotion on earth. I treat it as a practice, not a mood.
Ten minutes of silence, every day. It's how I hear my own thinking before the day fills my head with everyone else's.
And I stopped building around a number and started building around my family: trips with my mum, time with my wife, being there for Baby K every day.
Part of that rebuild was accepting something I still haven't shaken: I'll probably never feel fully good enough, no matter the number. And ironically, that acceptance has actually made me a happier husband, entrepreneur, and father.
✅ Happiness was never the reward for hitting the number. It became part of how I hit it.
Since that low, I've crossed S$1M+ in lifetime cash collected.
I haven't arrived. Some weeks it still stresses me out. This was never about being happy every day. It's about which direction you're facing.
If you're an entrepreneur grinding something that looks right on paper but feels wrong in your body, that's not a discipline problem. It might be the wrong formula.

Years ago, someone I looked up to offered to buy my business.
I was so lucky I said no.
He was going to help me scale it to multiple 7 figures, and it is easy to think that was the obvious yes. I had only just started, I was stressed, and almost nothing was working properly yet.
He was offering to fix every one of those things, and even today, I can't explain why I turned it down.
I still have no idea what my business would look like today if I said yes.
Because today, I know my business is smaller than it could have been. Plenty of people in my space make more money than me & more famous to.
But there are 5 things I got instead, and I would not swap one of them for a bigger business.
Hope this inspires you today:

I made 6 figures a year after overcoming these 6 fears.
There's no such thing as a fearless man (or woman).
But only people who are courageous, and those who are not.
I used to think as I grew my business, I'd have less fear than before.
However, each stage brought another version of fear: judgment, uncertainty, selling, not being good enough, failure, and being afraid to dreaming bigger than I believed I could.
But instead of trying to fight them...
I learned to acknowledge the fear, and have the courage to face them on.
(which also includes asking for help instead of doing it alone).
This helped me to make 6-figures/year while being a present dad & husband.
This should help you too:

I generated S$25,830 from one Facebook post during my wedding month.
It was not viral, and I did not have a giant audience.
The post worked because it had four important ingredients. But there was another part most people miss: the trust had been built before the offer appeared.
I broke down the exact post and why it worked.

Before you switch business again, check this one thing.
Marketing, then insurance, then co-living, then recruitment.
Those are the four lanes one of my private mentorship clients has moved through, in that order.
Every time a lane got sticky, he decided the lane was wrong for him, and he went looking for a better one.
A couple of weeks ago we finally looked at what was actually sticky each time.
It was the same thing in all four.
Every one of those lanes needed him to persuade people, face to face, again and again, and that's the part of the work he cannot stand.
Four different lanes, and all four ended at the same conversation he didn't want to have with himself.
I told him what I tell everyone at that point.
Everything you do will have problems.
Jumping doesn't fix that, it just resets the clock.
Then I told him to let the recruitment work go anyway.
A hard month is still just a hard month, but persuading people all day was the actual job in that lane, and he was NEVER going to want it.
Name the exact part of the work you've been dodging.
Then ask whether it disappears in the next lane, or whether it shows up again wearing different clothes.
If it shows up again, stay and solve it, because you'll pay that same price later with less time left on the clock.
If it genuinely disappears, go, and go without shame.
He told me it felt like something huge came off his shoulders.
✅ Every lane has a price, and the only real choice is which price you're willing to pay.
Pick one and start paying it.

Are you building the business that actually fits your life?
The free 4-minute check-in plus the 4-Hour Workday System guide.
He makes S$12,000 a month and hasn't grown in 5 years.
"10 years later, I will be exactly where I am now."
A guy said that to me on a call last year.
He wasn't struggling.
He had classes almost every day.
His income was around S$10,000 to S$12,000 a month, and it moved around a little.
Every single client had come to him through word of mouth, with no marketing at all.
And he was running at roughly 70% of what he could actually take on.
Then he kept going.
"Because I probably am still the same as I was like 5 years ago."
He'd already lived the same year five times.
That's the version of stuck that never announces itself.
Nothing goes wrong, nobody complains, the money keeps arriving, the days stay full, and the tiredness at the end of each day feels like progress.
What I said back to him was the plainest thing I know.
If it's not in your calendar, it's not your priority.
I still check my own calendar against that line.
Nobody sits down and decides to repeat five years.
It happens because the work that would change the next five is the only work with nobody chasing it, and everything else on the calendar has a person attached.
Which is why working harder never touches it.

P.S. Whenever you're ready, here are 3 ways I can help you grow your business past 6 figures on a 4-hour workday:
1) The 4 Hour Workday (free): Grab my entire system and design your personal gameplan → https://4hour.marcteo.com/
2) 9 days with me for $9: Join me and the other Master Implementers inside the community and unlock every AI tool, playbook, system and template I've ever built for my clients → https://privatecommunity.marcteo.com
3) Want it done with you? I'll help you build and install your entire system so you land your next 5-10 clients, then coach you 1:1 to run it yourself. Reply "custom" and I'll send the details (or if you'd rather see how it works first, watch here → https://6figurepath.marcteo.com/ty).

S$100 sessions to S$6,000 programs in 6 months.
I was charging S$100 a session when I paid a mentor S$30K.
That was back in 2020, and it was almost the last of my savings.
I know how that sounds.
I've never once regretted it.
I was scared when I made the payment.
It didn't feel like courage at all.
But the moment the money was gone, the math changed.
S$100 a session was never going to pay that back.
So I had to build something actually worth S$6K, and I had to do it soon instead of someday.
Six months later I was selling S$6K programs and I'd crossed six figures.
Left on my own, I would have worked most of it out eventually, but it would have taken me about five years.
That S$30K compressed those five years into six months.
I've put more than S$150K into mentors since then, and every single time I'm buying the same thing, the years I don't have to spend figuring it out alone.
I wouldn't call it the best decision I ever made, but it was the best decision I could have made at that point.
If there's a number you've been sitting on for months, I know exactly how that feels, because I wasn't ready either.
Deciding is what made me ready.
You got this 💙

Are you building the business that actually fits your life?

I just want a nice business, not a big one.
Her brother offered the money, and she felt chained.
She runs a medical device business with a junior sales team, and her brother is the one with the money.
On a group call this week she repeated what he keeps telling her.
"Hire the doctors. Hire the sales rep that will talk to doctors. Get an agency team. I have the funds for you."
Then in the same breath, she said this.
"I don't want to build a big business. I just want to build a nice business."
I said that if he has the funds for her, it also comes with numbers she has to hit.
She said, "for me, it feels like I'm honestly chained."
That's what I call I want but don't want energy.
Neither one of those wants is wrong.
She wants a calm business she actually enjoys running, and she also wants to grow it and help her family.
Both are real, both are switched on at the same time, and that is why nothing moves.
I told her straight that until she sorts this out, there will always be a cap on her growth.
What moves her is deciding out loud which want she's running this season.
It sounds like this: for this season I'm going to push a lot harder, I'm fine with that, and I know this is not what I do for the rest of my life.
That sentence takes the chain off, because now the pressure is something she picked instead of something being done to her.
And if something inside you won't let you make that call, that's what you work on first.
✅ A want you never say out loud still runs your calendar.
She said one more thing before we moved on, that it all sounds so logical while we're talking about it, but the emotions are tangled up in it.
That's exactly why smart people sit in this one for years.

One sentence turns followers who like you into buyers.
People book calls with me without knowing what I sell.
Someone said this about me on a call.
"I honestly don't know what Marc does."
The sentence didn't end there.
"but I just felt like I am inspired by this person."
I've also had someone tell me, "I thought you're an AI coach."
They read more of my posts after that and got more confused.
That's my fault, not theirs.
For years I've posted about the life, the family, the short working days, and the fact that I get to build all this from home.
I almost never posted about the actual work.
So people finish my posts liking me, and still have no idea whether I can help them with anything.
I'm a work-from-home dad who helps folks build and launch six-figure lifestyle businesses while being present for their family.
I do it three ways, and it's the same three every time.
One offer that's actually worth buying.
Content that brings the right people to it.
And a way of selling that still sounds like you, not a script someone handed you.
That's the whole thing I sell.
Everything else is just about how close you want to work with me.
If your people can describe how you make them feel but can't describe what you sell, you have the gap I had.
✅ Inspiration is what gets you followed, but being understood is what gets you paid.
👉 Open your last ten posts and read them like a stranger who found you today.
👉 Then ask two people who follow you: what do you think I actually sell?
If the posts don't say it and they can't either, you've just found your work for this week.

After 7 years, I FINALLY answered the question that started my business.
In 2019, I started Master Implementers to answer this:
👉 "Why can different people attend the same workshop, read the same book, or watch the same course, and walk away with completely different results?"
I FINALLY found the answer, and it isn't habits, mindset, motivation, goal-setting, identity, or simply implementing more.
The full story is over on Facebook:

If you close most calls, your price is too low.
100% close rate, and he still isn't paid enough.
One deal at S$1,500, another at S$1,200, and one that never properly closed, around S$100.
That's what came out in April when I asked a client of mine how much he gets paid on average.
It took him a while to get there.
The question before that one, he answered much faster.
For every 10 calls, how many people say yes to you?
For his one-to-one AI calls, 100%.
He builds custom AI systems for other businesses.
So that's the problem, I told him.
You're not getting paid enough right now.
And I want to be fair to him, because he is making money.
Plenty of people are sitting at zero, and he isn't one of them.
A 100% close rate at those prices tells you the selling already works.
He's already doing the hard part, getting a stranger to say yes to him.
What he charges for that yes is the part that's off.
I told him those prices are good.
They just aren't great, and when we keep saying yes to the good, we don't get to say yes to the great.
- Add up what your last ten sales conversations actually paid you.
- Then price so that some people say no.
- And before you book another call, ask who you're attracting in the first place.
✅ The three numbers he named add up to S$2,800, and one client paying S$3,000 beats all three put together.
How you attract the S$3,000 person is the real work.
It only starts once you stop being impressed by the 100%.

I'm deleting 90% of my trainings this year.
Someone left my membership because there was too much inside.
He joined through a referral from a good friend.
In the first few days he was consuming everything.
He went through the content, he went through the trainings, he even wrote his intro post.
Then five days in, he messaged me.
"Marc, there's abit too much to consume & I'm feeling overwhelmed… so I'd like to leave."
We hadn't even had our first 1:1 yet.
I had zero hard feelings then and I still don't, because the overwhelm was real.
But he came in to break a pattern, and inside five days he had run that exact pattern again, this time using my material.
What he was missing was somebody telling him which one thing to do first.
One expert says master sales, the next says fix your mindset, the next says build systems, and all of it sounds good.
None of it tells you which one is yours in the season you're actually in.
He's one of the reasons I'm now killing 90% of the trainings I built.
They work, but handing someone more to get through was never the help they needed.
So I'm cutting my library down to the few things that actually get installed in someone's business, and if that means there's less of me to consume, good.
Pick the training you keep meaning to finish, and don't finish it.
Write down the one thing in your business it was supposed to fix.
✅ Knowing the ONE thing that matters for you right now beats any library you can buy, mine included.

How to close without using a fake deadline.
Fake deadlines work, and that's the problem.
A few weeks ago I wrote out my entire objection playbook, start to finish.
One rule ended up sitting underneath all of it.
Only offer a deposit, a payment plan, a refund, a guarantee or a deadline that genuinely exists.
You already know the ones that don't, like the last spot that isn't really the last spot, or the cohort that closes Friday and quietly reopens on Monday.
Those things do work, which is exactly why people keep reaching for them, and why they cost so much.
When somebody doesn't buy, it's almost always one of four things.
They've got something practical in the way, like timing or scheduling.
They're missing a belief that got skipped much earlier in the conversation.
They're the sort of person who thinks hard about every decision before making it.
They were never going to buy in the first place.
👉 When you go back through your last sales conversation, was every deadline, policy and number you named actually true?
👉 Next time somebody hesitates, tell them a no is completely fine with you.
👉 If the answer is still no, go find the belief that never got built.
I count seven beliefs that have to be in place before somebody says yes, and a no usually points at whichever one is missing.
Pressure skips all of that, and you spend next month fixing the end of your calls instead of the hour before it.
✅ Every fake deadline buys you a client who was never convinced.
It probably costs me a few yeses, and I'd still rather have the clean no.
