Lessons from Singapore's first Happiness Scientist

"Why not choose the strategy that makes you feel the happiest?"

That powerful question was what Shaen Yeo asked me years ago during a business mastermind.

Unfortunately, I didn't really understand what she meant then.
But I'm glad I do now.

For those who don't know, Sha-En is Singapore's first Happiness Scientist, 2x TEDx Speaker & former President of the Asia Professional Speakers Singapore (APSS).

Recently, Sha En was a guest speaker for my mastermind, and here were my 3 favorite takeaways that I still use today:

Do you know what Singapore REALLY means?

The word "Singapore" comes from Sanskrit: "simha" (lion) and "pura" (city).

Lions = Courage, Strength, Leadership.

To me, real courage isn’t just big risks.

It’s living in alignment with your values, saying no to what’s not you, & trusting your process when others chase shiny things.

And for me..

Real strength isn’t about 80-hour grinds.

It’s working with focus, protecting time for what matters, and building something sustainable.

Leadership is about Going First: showing others what’s possible without waiting for permission.

So today, I wish you the courage, strength & leadership to honor both your ambitions & your values.

Don't just step up for Singapore, stand up for yourself too.

Happy National Day! 🇸🇬🦁

P.S. Yes, Lion King is my fave movie: my son’s name, KyLEO, says it all haha

P.S. I hope this message benefits our friends out of SG too!! :)

Happy Monday!

Earlier this year, I quietly created what I call the Master Implementer GPT for clients.

This is where I downloaded my entire "brain" on mindsets, productivity, identity & self-awareness for clients to use 24/7.

Here's how some clients have benefitted since:

- Treating it as a reflection partner daily & gotten way more clarity & direction for life than ever
- Overcame limiting beliefs they'd been avoiding for years
- Let go of people who weren't supporting them anymore
- Making peace with unjust events from colleagues & family members

The amazing thing is, I created it once & barely touched it after. They can use it 24/7 while I'm sleeping, with family, or just chilling.

This is also why I believe the future belongs to those who can blend human wisdom with AI systems that actually serve people.

P.S. Received a nice message from a client last week on this. She's been in MI for 2+ years & grateful she's still getting value & insights💙

"Marc, it's easy for you to think that way now that you're successful. I'll have your mindset once I reach your level ok?"

A client told me this recently.

The thing is, I used to worry about this exact question years ago too.

Did I succeed because I had the right mindsets, or do I have these mindsets only after I became successful?

And here's what a mentor answered when I asked him this...

His response completely shifted how I think about success, money, and why some people breakthrough while others stay stuck in the same patterns year after year.

My daily routine to earn $20K+/m in just 2 hours a day

Tomorrow, Baby K turns 3 months old.

Suddenly, those 8-hour "productive" workdays became a luxury I couldn't afford. I had to get ruthless about what actually moves the needle in my business.

And what I discovered is most of what we call "work" is just busy work disguised as productivity.

After stripping away everything non-essential, I found something powerful: You can build a $20K+/month lifestyle business working just 2 hours a day.

But only if you focus on the right 5 daily activities.

Is Marc a humble bragger?

Last night when sharing an earlier post in a community, I received a comment:

"All I can really say to this is just it brings joy to my eyes to see an entrepreneur to humblebrag about how they're uplifting their own people without glossing on their own ego."

While I'm grateful the "humblebrag" came off as positive, it got me thinking: What if people think I'm disguising humility but actually showing off?

Upon deeper reflection, I was reminded of something I read about Marie Forleo and why she shares her finances openly...

"The idea of a Lifestyle Business is a scam."

This morning, I woke up to read this from an ex-client and since it was about the term I've built my entire business around...

You might think I'd feel offended, but I actually love these discussions because they challenge assumptions and open up new possibilities.

So here are my honest thoughts on the three biggest objections people have about lifestyle businesses and why I still believe in this approach.

Last week, Alex Hormozi broke multiple world records.

For me, I spent time with my family, exercising & doing a small part to help others via my work.

I call that a win too 💙

Reminder to everyone to focus on the people who really matter & not those who drain, judge & tire you out.

Be super mindful of your energy & focus because there are many who’ll like to sway you from your path cuz they’re unhappy with theirs.

Jiayou everyone!! 💙
I am not a "Mr. Nice Guy" anymore...

Back in university, I was known as the helpful guy. Need help with accounting, HR or finance modules? Just ask Marc.

I genuinely enjoyed helping friends & figured the more I taught, the better I'd get anyway.

When I started my business, I brought this same mindset — free 1-on-1 calls where I'd share everything, special deals for people who "really needed it."

But here's what I realized: I was draining myself helping people who didn't take it seriously while having less time for my actual paying clients and family.

So I made a hard decision and completely changed how I operate.

Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer before I turned 30.

When my mum was in critical condition with pneumonia, I could be there for her surgery because I just finished army training. But when she woke up, she asked: "Where is daddy?"

Daddy couldn't be around. Daddy had to work. Daddy had commitments. Daddy maxed out his leave.

That moment was defining for me. I never wanted my family to be in a situation where I couldn't be there when they needed me most...because I had "work to do."

But there's something deeper here about what being a lifestyle entrepreneur actually means, and why your business should serve your life, not the other way around.

After 4+ years of wanting one, I finally got into a Tesla in Singapore!

(Before you get excited, no, I didn't buy it. It was my brother-in-law's while we babysat their kids haha)

The experience was everything I expected. Smooth, sleek, damn fun to drive.

But here's what I learned about myself...

When Tesla first launched here, my reaction was pure excitement. I'd been talking about this for years while friends bought their BMWs and Mercs.

Then reality hit: Yes, I can afford it now, but that single choice would affect everything else I'm building toward.

So while I know I'd eventually buy one, doing that now would be the worst financial decision I'd make for my current season of life.

Here's why...

Life Lessons from mentoring four 6-figure founders this week

A huge reason why I love my business is because I get to meet people from different backgrounds & industries.

Not only do I get to contribute, I get to learn from them too.

And awhile back, I reflected on my calls with some of my 6-figure clients & noticed some clear patterns. These are entrepreneurs who are great at what they do, client-focused & prioritize alignment over selling their soul.

One generated multiple 6-figures working 4-hour workdays while traveling the world. Another hit 6-figures while running another company, 3 kids & just successfully published a book. Another doubled her revenue in 1 quarter & reduced her CPL by half.

But here's what I learned from ALL of them that most people miss...

Avoiding doing something important but uncomfortable?

Remind yourself who you're doing this for.

Your family, clients, & community.
People who could have better lives with your help.
People you'll inspire if you step up & keep moving forward.

How will their life be like if you don't grow your biz, career or income?
What happens if you continue to play small? What happens if you play big instead?

People are counting on you. Don't let them down.

You got this everyone.💙
"How has being a dad REALLY been?"

During Baby K's 100th day celebration, that was one of the most common questions I got.

I haven't really reflected on it properly, so I decided to do it & share it here. And honestly? Some of these insights surprised me more than I expected.

From realizing I'm damn blessed with sleep (thanks to my superwoman wife) to discovering how being present with a baby forces you to slow down in ways that actually made me better at business...

Do you prefer budget-hunting or value-hunting? 🤔

Read this post from a 9-figure entrepreneur last week.

It garnered a lot of reactions so thought to share it here.

Personally, I’d say this applies not just to talent, but many other areas of life too.

Many of my best investments were done above market value & not the cheapest:

- Coaching & mentorship programs
- Personal training
- Stocks & options
- Supplements & checkups
- Software, tools & team members

Of course you don’t have to pay a premium for everything, but id say for areas that are actually a priority to you.

Food for thought for everyone reading here.

A while back, I lost one of my favorite clients.

He's someone I considered a friend, but I wasn't upset.

That's because I wasn't losing someone who was unhappy or frustrated. I was losing a client who had so much clarity, alignment, and focus that he didn't need me anymore.

In fact, he went on to generate 8-figures for the company he's working for.

But here's what happened during our time together that made all the difference...

Fun fact: I have a private list of 200+ friends & industry peers I send valuable stuff to regularly.

Last week, I sent them a resource worth a few thousand dollars completely for free.

The replies were interesting. Some thought I was an AI bot. Some thanked me profusely. Many didn't reply at all.

But one friend asked: "Marc, why do you even bother sending all of these for free? You don't have to."

My answer might surprise you, because while this single strategy has helped me attract amazing clients, build real friendships, and connect with multiple 6-8 figure entrepreneurs I look up to...

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: 𝐈'𝐦 𝟖𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 $𝟏𝐌.

Recently, I realized my company hit ~$800,000 in lifetime sales from our main programs.

Some people will probably think that's super little.

But for someone who was a nervous, unknown guy just a few years ago, this has been a huge journey for me.

So as we closed off August, my heart felt full of gratitude because I'm way more excited than ever.

But here's what really matters: I'm doing this without complicated sales teams, complex funnels, or pushing people to buy.

$150,000 Worth of Business Advice in 18 Minutes

Hey folks!

I just dropped one of my most fun video yet.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve invested more than $150,000 in coaching programs, seminars, and one-to-one mentorship.
Some were life-changing. Others… not so much.

But here’s what I learned that transformed my entire business and life:
🎯 Watch: “$150,000 Worth of Business Advice in 18 Minutes (Revealing Everything)”

Today, I’m still investing in myself because I know that to accelerate toward the life I want, I need to keep upgrading myself.

It’s like flying from Singapore to Bangkok, you could walk there for free, but you’d waste months, make tons of mistakes, and probably quit halfway.

Or you could buy a plane ticket and get there in 2 hours.

I always choose the plane for things that matter.

So if you’ll like unlimited access to every single tool, system, and training I’ve ever created for just $7…

Plus, a private 1:1 strategy call with me to identify exactly what you should focus on first and map out your personal gameplan,

👉Transform your business & life without having to pay $150,000 yourself.
