The Pilibhit Tiger Reserve from Uttar Pradesh bagged the first international award TX2 for doubling its number of tigers in four years.
There are 51tiger reserves in India.

In 2006, there were only 1,411 tigers in India which increased to 2,967 in 2018.

โฆ๏ธWhile, the waters of Western rivers - Indus, Jhelum, and Chenab were allocated to Pakistan except for specified domestic , non-consumptive and agricultural use permitted to India as provided in the Treaty.

Russia has deployed an underwater telescope called the Baikal-GVD (Gigaton Volume Detector) in the Lake Baikal, the worldโs deepest lake
GVD is one of the three largest neutrino detectors in the world, other 2 being IceCube at the South Pole and ANTARES in the Mediterranean Sea.
GVD is designed to detect neutrinos that may have come from the Earthโs core, or could have been produced during nuclear reactions in the Sun, or formed as a result of supernova explosions.
It will aid in understanding of the origin of the universe since some neutrinos were formed during the Big Bang

Natural sources of neutrinos include the primordial elements within the earth, radioactivity in the sun

โช๏ธ In the Tal Chhapar Sanctuary, a special type of grass is found. This grass is called Mothiya locally, The shape of the seed of this grass is like very fine round shaped pearls. Mothiya has a very sweet taste. People enjoy eating it

โ A cloudburst in Chamoli district has triggered an avalanche breaking off a portion of Nandadevi glacier near Joshimath and causing massive flooding in the Alkananda river system.
โ Several power projects such as Tapovan-Vishnugad hydel project, the Rishi Ganga Hydel Project and the Dhauliganga hydropower project have suffered extensive damage.
โ In a cloudburst prone region like Uttarakhand clearing of vegetation for construction of exotic resorts, roads using heavy earth moving machinery as well as building large hydropower projects is a glaring example of how ecological impact of human exacerbates the impacts of natural disasters.
