Today, HDB offers subsidised temporary housing under the Parenthood Provisional Housing Scheme (PPHS) to support families who need to rent while waiting for their BTO flats to be built. We are on track to double our PPHS supply to 4,000 units by 2025.
Meanwhile, we will offer a new PPHS (Open Market) Voucher of $300 per month to help eligible families who need to rent a HDB flat or bedroom in the open market. This scheme will run for one year. We have designed this scheme to provide some relief to eligible families with less income at their disposal, while minimising impact on the broader rental market.
