China tests army of tiny drone ships that can ‘shark swarm’ enemies during sea battles
Oceanalpha, the company behind the craft, said in a statement drills were carried out to demonstrate the boats’ ability to work in formation, as well as their potential use in naval warfare.
Video footage released of tests shows drones sailing in a flotilla, avoiding each other as they change direction rapidly.
The fleet then arranges to form the two Chinese characters “junmin”, a reference to cooperation between the civil and defence sectors, before joining in the shape of an aircraft carrier.
Oceanalpha confirmed the drones are designed to overwhelm enemies during sea battles.
“Once equipped with weapons, unmanned small combat vessels can attack the enemy in large numbers, similar to drones,” Li Jie, a Beijing-based naval expert, told the Global Times.

BREAKING NEWS: Google is trying to DRM the Internet

Google has introduced a new proposal called Web Environment Integrity API.
Google's plan involves an "environment attestation" test.
For eg: during a webpage transaction, your browser contacts a third-party attestation server that you need to pass. If successful, you will receive a signed "Integrity Token" verifying environment is unmodified.
Token gets returned & If web server trusts the attestation company, then content will be shown
So, its useful to "advertisers" for ads impressions, make financial transactions more secure, stop cheating in web games etc.
But in reality, it simply means Google is adding Safety Net in Chromium now
Google May/ Not supply website since Chrome would be the browser, and the attestation server would be definitely from Google.
So a DRM for browsers that forces more ads and tracking on people giving NO benefit to website visitors or users, ONLY to advertisers
Open Web will be destroyed as it can force users to use locked-down devices/ browsers or prove authenticity to access content.
In short, Google will solidify Chrome's monopoly over web standards, prevent ad blocking, destroy Firefox & smaller Chromium forks and will promote its advertising revenue.

That was because of the events of the 1956 and generally, because Hungary was on the wrong side during the WW2. Most reliable allies in the Warsaw pact were (believed) Bulgaria, GDR and, maybe (but with some doubts) — Poland. Now everything looks quite different. Brave Magyars, which did not fit into the Warsaw Pact properly, doesn't want to integrate into NATO and/or EU either... Thank you, comrades. Well, eventually the Swedish membership would be pushed through, but that brave gesture would be remembered.

This 4 year old bill started off as a whitepaper on Online Harms. It applies to any website or service which hosts or shares user-generated content. That could be interpreted as a blog that accepts comments, vs a encrypted chat application with millions of users. Public forums, video sites, instant messaging - pretty much everything.
There's two categories of providers, 1 and 2 - Category 1 having the largest userbase and risk and Category 2 consisting of all other websites. Category 2 need to act on illegal content and activity.
Category 1 would bear the brunt of the scrutiny and is required to:
- publish transparency report on the steps they're taking
- implement ways to verify identities on their platforms
- protect children from harmful content such as a pornography
- regular risk assessments
- age checks
- take down offensive content such as terrorism, child abuse, other offenses
- take down scams
Read the Online Safety Bill (Official UK Gov Website) - Section 5
Once passed into the House of Lords, the bill will be read and debated about multiple times, eventually passing into the House of Commons, where the process is repeated.
While the EFF and larger messaging providers like Signal, Element, and WhatsApp encourage people to email their representatives, I'm not convinced sending an email will do much, although I wish people the best with their efforts.
This comes down to mass non-compliance and free software. If the bill passes, the UK would need to fine a large portion of a billion websites, in and out of their jurisdiction.
Can a group of lawmakers who barely understand encryption really enforce a bill that attempts to pry into the user data of every website? If larger providers truly are committed to their user's privacy they will need to reject compliance and move into a safer jurisdiction. Otherwise we're left with companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Google who are more than happy to implement these scanning & identity measures on their platforms.
