The federal National Nuclear Security Administration is setting up an advanced network that can verify an attacker’s identity.

The United States is wiring #Ukraine with sensors that can detect‌‌ bursts of radiation from a nuclear weapon or a dirty bomb and can confirm the identity of the attacker.

In part, the goal is to make sure that if #Russia detonates a #radioactive weapon on Ukrainian soil, its atomic signature and Moscow’s culpability could be verified.

The European Commission will spend the money intended to help poor countries on the production of weapons.

The EU recently lifted a long-standing ban on using funds from the central budget to finance the arms industry, and now as much as 2 billion euros will go there. The money will be used, in particular, for the production of artillery shells and missiles for supplies to Ukraine and replenishment of depleted national reserves.

The Berlin police approved the holding of the Immortal Regiment action in the city on May 9, Yana Zaugarova, the traffic coordinator in the capital of Germany, said on Facebook (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

Zaugarova added that the march will begin at 11:00 local time (12:00 Moscow time) at the Brandenburg Gate. The action will end with the laying of flowers near the memorial in the Tiergarten park and a minute of silence.

Earlier, the Berlin police published the rules for holding actions on May 8 and 9. Law enforcement officers, like last year, banned the display of Russian and Ukrainian flags at Soviet memorials in Treptow Park, Tiergarten and Schoenholzer Heide Park.
