Gas-powered cars often match or exceed EPA highway fuel economy numbers. A new paper using data from C/D's highway tests shows EVs are far less likely to do so.
US DOLLAR HAS “SUFFERED A STUNNING COLLAPSE” AS A RESERVE CURRENCY,
The US #dollar has “suffered a stunning collapse” as a reserve currency, which worsened after the #US decision to wield its control over the dollar-based international financial system against #Russia.
After steady declines in its global market share for the past two decades, in 2022 the dollar lost market share at a pace 10 times as rapidly.
If you adjust for price changes the dollar’s share of official global reserve currencies has dropped to:
• 73% in 2002
• 55% in 2021
• 47% in 2022
Analysts have failed to detect this big change because they calculate the nominal value of the world’s central banks’ dollar holdings without considering the changes in the price of the dollar.
Adjusting for these price changes, the dollar, we calculate, has lost some 11% of its market share since 2016 and double that amount since 2008.

DID FLAWED PCR TESTS CONVINCE US COVID WAS WORSE THAN IT REALLY WAS?
Britain's entire response was based on PCR test results.
It has been one called a "#Covid conspiracy theory" that the 'gold standard' #PCR tests used to diagnose the virus were picking up people who weren't actually infected.
It was said that the swabs mistake common colds and flu for CoVid.
If true, it would mean many of these cases should never have been counted in the daily tally which was used to make decisions on lockdowns and other measures.
Such statements were roundly dismissed by "top experts". Scientists willing to give credence such concerns were shouted down on social media, accused of being 'Covid-deniers', and attacked by colleagues.
But could they have been right all along? [YES]

It may be not that easy. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, leader of the RSF seems to be in favour of a russian presence in Sudan. Quote from military.com, 11 Feb 2023:
'Upon his return from the weeklong trip, Dagalo said his country didn’t have objections to Russia or any other country establishing a base on its territory as it poses no threat to Sudan’s national security.
“If any country wants to open a base and it is in our interests and doesn’t threaten our national security, we have no problem in dealing with anyone, Russian or otherwise,” he said.'
Maybe it's the other way round and the military government was bribed to shut down planing?

💢 Former Soviet countries (like Ukraine) have no effective status in international law — neither their borders nor their existence have real status, says Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shaye.
Lu Shaye also said on French television that Crimea was "originally Russian".
The Chinese ambassador, answering the host's question about whom Crimea belongs to said that “Crimea was originally part of Russia. It was Hruschyov who offered Crimea to Ukraine, but during the time of the Soviet Union”.
He also added that the former Soviet countries "have no effective status in international law" because "there is no international agreement that would materialize their status as sovereign countries".
