The #Republican-led House passed a bill Thursday that would bar schools and colleges that receive federal money from allowingtransgender athletes whose biological sex assigned at birth was males to compete on girls or women's sports teams or athletic events.
The legislation, known as the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, was approved by a party-line vote of 219 to 203.
It's unlikely to advance further, since the Democratic-led Senate will not support it and the White House said President Biden would veto it.

There is a difference between a #Glide and a #GuidedBomb.
• A guided bomb is directed to its target from the cockpit of the aircraft releasing it. The bomb is steerable.
• A glide bomb differs in that it is released and glides to its target. While it can be controlled by a pilot or copilot, more typically it operates autonomously once it is released.
The #US has supplied #Ukraine with two different types of glide bombs:
• The GLSDB (ground-launched small diameter bomb) produced by Boeing and #Saab (Sweden), and
• The JDAM-ER (joint direct attack munition-extended range), made by #Boeing.
Russia has two types of precision bombs:
• The Grom E2, which has seen mechanical or electronic faults, and
• The UPAB-1500B-E, is effective and reliable. Ukraine has not been able to jam or shoot down #UPAB bombs.
The US weapons have not been effective and have been intercepted by the Russians.
