Make Russians believe, that it will start later, so it will become unexpected... Good plan. However, Russian generals do not read Washington Post (I hope).

The dead soldier's physical body needs to be recovered.

Declaring men as “missing” means Ukr Gov't saves on payments to families and can obscure true losses!
How are military commanders profiting from “disposing” of their own troops?
The payments for soldiers, including "missing" soldiers (or “ghost soldiers”, only existing on paper) go through the battalion commanders.
The commanders can keep the money! (3rd Video)
Additionally for a missing soldier the commanders gets 3 months of salary + bonuses
It's a very sick and very evil scheme.
