China-US on collision course?
The relationships between #Russia-#Ukraine and #China-#Taiwan are very different.
This begins with the degree of agency of the Ukrainian versus Taiwanese governments. It also relates to the relative power of the parties in all dimensions, starting with population: Russia to Ukraine is 3:1 whereas China to Taiwan is 30:1
Ukraine is run by an insane junta first put in place by the United States in the coup d’etat of February 2014 that it stage managed.
Zelensky himself may have been democratically elected but the pro-peace platform that brought him victory was turned around under U.S. marching orders and he has allowed his country to be used as a battering ram against Russia without regard to the physical destruction of his cities, implosion of his economy and loss of hundreds of thousands of soldiers.
No one will say that the Taiwanese are led by fools of that caliber. Nor has the Taiwanese population been brainwashed and cowed by its present leaders in the way we see in Zelensky’s Ukraine.
The issue of independence has been raised repeatedly by candidates in the periodic national elections and each time it has been defeated by Taiwanese voters.
The Taiwanese obviously do not share the suicidal tendencies of Ukrainians.

Russia released a video of its fighter alongside the downed Reaper.
Interestingly, the MQ-9 was equipped with a VERY advanced surveillance system. The Gorgon Stare, as the video confirms.
China, Russia and Iran have had problems in this area, where the US actually has a significant advantage. If Russia recovers the remains of this surveillance system it could be very interesting for study.
Recall that the US previously refused to supply the MQ-9 to Ukraine for fear that it would be shot down and the Russians would study it.
Not only did this happen, but the downed aircraft was carrying one of NATO's most advanced surveillance systems.

American planes and ships must not approach Russian borders. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov.
"Can you imagine that such a plane, a drone, will suddenly appear near New York or San Francisco? Can you imagine what the reaction of the American media, the Pentagon will be in relation to such a drone?" he stressed.
According to Antonov, the Russian pilots acted very professionally, there was no contact, no weapons were used.

After the incident in the Black Sea, the NATO command urgently canceled several planned sorties of its drones: one UAV was supposed to fly from Italy towards Crimea, another from Lithuania towards Kaliningrad, and in the evening a flight from Romania towards Lviv was to take place.
Meanwhile, particularly "dangerous" senators are shouting about the need to shoot down Russian air force planes as a retaliatory measure, but this will remain an empty sonic gimmick - it is one thing to fight Russia on Ukrainian territory at the hands of others, and quite another when there is a risk of a direct confrontation between the nuclear powers . While there are some members of the alliance who want to drag the West into conflict with Russia - the Balts and Poland are the main European hawks.
What happened in the Black Sea will not affect anything on a global scale - the US and its satellites will continue their anti-Russian course in the same format, and Russia will not turn back from its path.
