On this day in 1954, the CIA executed a coup d’état in Guatemala that overthrew democratically-elected leader Jacobo Árbenz, putting an end to his progressive reforms that had stopped the exploitative practices of the U.S.’ multinational United Fruit Company.

At the height of that conflict, the CIA-trained army committed one of the bloodiest massacres in Guatemala against the guerilla’s social base, primarily Indigenous Maya civilians that were viewed as subhuman.

Russian ships are perfectly entitled to be in that nautical space.

"Exclusive Economic Zone" has no real meaning in terms of who can or cannot enter those waters.

It has no connection to "Sovereign nautical territory" which is limited to 12 miles from a country's coast.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense reported that two Russian small missile ships of the Buyan-M project were spotted on June 15 in the exclusive economic zone of Romania, 140 km from the coast.

The ships equipped with the Kalibr-NK guided missile system were located in close proximity to the Uran and Ana offshore gas production platforms.

It should be noted that on the deck of one of the RTOs there was a Ka-27 helicopter, the second - the Tor anti-aircraft missile system (as a means of strengthening air defense). The side numbers and names of the ships are painted over.

THE GERMAN CAT

In the early 1930s there was a Jewish journalist living in Germany. The journalist loved cats so he had a subscription to a cat magazine.

At first the magazine had articles about "grooming your cat", "toys for your cat" etc etc, exactly what you would expect in a magazine dedicated to cats

But as the 30s went on the journalist started noticing articles appearing in the magazine about the German cat.

How the nature of German cats were superior.

How essential the loyalty of German cats were.

Slowly some variant of this message made it into every article.

In the total state every aspect of life must relate back to the power of the regime.

No academic discipline, piece of art, or hobby can simply exist for its own sake.

It only exists to point back to the power of the regime. .......

When you notice that every company is woke, every show or video game is about social justice, every school is more interested teaching gender ideology than math or reading you’re noticing the German cat, ........
