Poland still buying Russian gas – Gazprom
Poland continues to buy Russian natural gas from Germany via reverse flows, after its direct supplies were suspended due to non-payment in rubles, Russia’s energy giant Gazprom has said.
Gazprom announced a complete halt of gas exports to Poland Wednesday in line with a new payment mechanism launched earlier this month. According to Gazprom, supplies will not resume until Warsaw complies with the new terms. Deliveries to Bulgaria were also halted, for the same reason.
Poland raised its bid for reverse gas supplies from Germany fivefold Wednesday, data from the German operator of the gas transmission network Gascade showed.

A vivid example of how the Ukrainian authorities "take care" of their citizens — a correspondent of the German edition of Blaulicht Magazin filmed a report on the mountains of humanitarian aid from Germany thrown at the border, intended for civilians of Ukraine. The humanitarian cargo contains clothes and other essentials that are simply lying unattended.
"A lot of things, clothes and other humanitarian aid donated by residents of Germany are lying around in a Polish village near the border, and no one cares about them," the correspondent complained.
Probably, it's all about bureaucracy, which, at the same time, does not interfere at all with the endless supply of convoys with weapons to Ukraine from Western countries.

“Angry Putin” (probably the most calm and logical person involved in the situation)… “cut off natural gas supplies” (because they refused to pay, but that’s not mentioned)… (Russia’s) “blundering campaign” (highly debatable yet stated as fact)… “damaging Moscow’s military credibility around the world” (untrue, unless they’re referring to N. America, part of Europe, and Australia – but they’re trying to make it sound unanimous)… US Defense Secretary “gave voice to[…] hope”… and where are the “nuclear threats” mentioned in the headline?!

"As Poland desperately attempts to restore the flow of Russian gas to the country, its government has ordered Russian #Novatek to hand over #pipeline infrastructure or face legal action amounting to infrastructure expropriation.
On Friday, a Polish government spokesman told the Associated Press that Russian Novatek Green Energy had been ordered to make its pipelines available to Polish companies and that failure to comply would mean legal action.
Invoking crisis management laws, AP cited government spokesperson #Piotr #Mueller as saying that the fate of Novatek, Russia’s second-largest natural gas producer, “depends on whether this Russian firm, linked to Russia, will cooperate in the proper way …. whether the employees, acting on some instructions, will not be trying to block this process in some way”.
