The toxicologist who examined the Egyptian mummies got an unexpected result - in addition to tobacco, the Egyptians dabbled in cocaine. The tests were repeated, then expanded, but the statistics were stubborn - in 56 of 72 samples there were traces of cocaine
The archeologists said that the cocaine could have got on the mummies accidentally, during the excavations (can you already imagine, how the diggers sniff happily the track from the sarcophagus?) And the archeologists are not embarrassed by the fact that the drug was found beneath the embalming layer, beneath the bandages.
But, there is a new theory. Not necessarily everyone sailed to the Americas, it is possible that it was just the opposite - the peoples of ancient America were going on long journeys. That would explain the uniform artifacts around the world.
