Pizzelle is a classic Italian sweet for parties, weddings, etc. It's basically a very thin waffle. When you buy a pizzelle machine it will come with different recipes. One of the most classic flavours is with sambuca and anise. Nonna actually used the whole little bottle of anise extract for this. Just mix it up until the batter is smooth and this recipe will make at least 50 pizzelles so it's a great treat to feed a crowd with! Be very careful with the surface of your machine, and never wash with water. If it sticks cover with oil.
