ππ I've been receiving texts about bellcurve for E Math. In a typical year, it is between 85-90% for an A1. This year is a bit different, paper 1 was harder than previous years, and paper 2 is about similar to previous years.
ππ As a whole, if you scored around 85% for your two papers, you should comfortably get an A1. So somewhere around 82%ish should be okay. Unless you're unlucky...
π₯π₯There's your most IMPORTANT week coming up next week, so all the best to yall. I'll do a debrief soon for E Math on our account.

Hi yall, ππ
SS is tomorrow morning, we don't teach SS, but just some tips for those preparing for tomorrow.
Manage your time well, don't spend too much time reading the background information. You should leave around 30 mins for qn 5 and 30 mins for qn 6-7. So that leaves u with about 45 mins for the first 4 questions.
For SBQ, read the source with the provenance. The provenance gives u a better understanding of what the person is trying to say. If it's an opposer -> likely criticise/mock. If it's a supporter -> likely support.
Some key words for purpose questions as well: Convince, Criticise, Mock, Justify. Do not use "he wrote this to support..."
For SRQ qns, sell your examiners a story. Apart from having relevant examples, the markers want a developed paragraph where you're telling a story, with a flow. Ask yourself "so what? so what if there's more people going for the event? so what if there's awareness? so what..."
All the best tomorrow morning, and rest early π΄

Physics: π§ π§
A few tips for you guys before your exam tomorrow:
1. For physics calculations questions, make sure to write your formula before attempting to include numbers, there are marks given for formulae. π₯
2. For data based questions, make sure to quote the given data πΉ
3. When doing questions that say "appropriate number of significant figures", make sure you use your sf/dp rule. π―π―
4. For your explanation questions, an easy tip is to go and think about the formula: ππ
An example: What happens to the seasaw when the man walks closer to the pivot. [Moments chapter] -> Think about moments formula.
When the guy walks closer, perpendicular distance drops, hence clockwise moment by the man drops, hence anticlockwise moment greater than clockwise moment, hence net anticlockwise moment causes sea-saw to rotate anticlockwise. ββ

A few pointers before your physics exam:
1. When they say "leave to appropriate significant figures", make sure you use sf/dp rule
2. Make sure to include your units in your answer
3. For data based questions, make sure to include data from the question
4. Look out for the units given in the questions, they may trick you sometimes...
