A little OFF-TOPIC, but useful.

By installing this Text Editor, you can also quickly write short notes, shopping lists or longer documents OFFLINE and create & edit TEXT files (.TXT).

What I especially liked is that you can adjust the text size and also set the dark theme, to save batteries and your eves, too.

- Please give me feedback on how you like this text editor or suggest a better one.
This one is small and does what you would normally need.

You can also send and share saved texts & messages directly from the app.

Data Saver Tip

YouTube might be a real data thief to many, however there are various different options to conserve your data.

You can either use @uTubeBot or @Download_it_Bot to assist you. Both will also put you in charge not only to overview (preview) your data usage for the individual videos, but also let you select the size of the picture and data, as required at the time.

Furthermore you could also download an Audio only file, but I found that the 144p videos often can be smaller and you might still get an impression of that is going on in the video, by looking at the tiny picture, even if it is hazy.

ℹ️
Then there is also still a third (and almost unknown) option available, for most but not all videos, depending on the options set by the uploader.
- This is the trick not to download any video or audio, but just the TRANSCRIPT as they call it, which is editable TEXT, generated by Google/YouTube, after the actual upload.

However this needs a little work from your side, as I could not find a suitable grabber/extractor/downloader — either in the Google PlayStore or as Firefox Add-On for computer.

So, please proceed as follows:

Change your default YouTube settings not to auto-play the videos.

In YouTube, below the video you see a text box, click or tap on more, to get to the extended text box.
(In Android you might have to tap on more again further down.)
- Scroll down to Transcript and click on its link, View Transcript, below that.
- Then you will see a new text box open up below (on the computer it is on the top right), where you then can read the TEXT.
On the computer you can also select the text and copy it, to be then inserted into a text program or into your Saved Messages on @Telegram.
— I have not yet found a way to select and copy the text using Android as yet.

Hope this will help you a little, to stretch your data and budget.
- Feedback is always welcome.

Millions of people across Australia have been affected by major outages across multiple businesses, affecting banks, airlines and media outlets.
Around 3pm on Friday, computers across the country began shutting down with multiple workers reporting issues at multiple different businesses.

The issue comes from a "bluescreen error" which is a result of a Crowdstrike outage, with servers and devices getting stuck in "boot loops".

Multiple media organisations reported issues with networks, including the ABC, SBS, Channel 7, Channel 9 and News Corp Australia.

The IT issues are also affecting other countries, with outages reported from New Zealand, Japan and India.

It is also affecting multiple major institutions, with crowd-sourced website Downdetector listing outages for Foxtel, NAB, Bendigo Bank, Suncorp Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Me Bank and more.

Computer systems have crashed, with machines continually restarting.
Airlines are also being affected by the outage, with Qantas having to delay boarding on some flights.

There are also reports point-of-sales systems are being affected, with some people taking to Twitter to report Coles' self-serve Eftpos machines weren't working.
