Vaguely-remembered game from my childhood, racking my brains trying to figure out what it was
I remember playing it on Linux with my little sister like, 15-20 years ago. The graphics were simple and geometric, you moved around a dark environment and collected diamonds. The enemies looked like butterflies, or triangular bowties. This ringing any bells?

Small note: the Steam Cloud saving adjustments will be coming in the next version update! I didn't make mention of it in the video because, well, there isn't anything to show- its just all settings that I'll have to test once the next version is ready!

Freesync/VRR AMD Linux questio
Hi. I was wondering if Freesync/VRR works on Linux using AMD RX 580 using only HDMI? I use this pc as living room media player- light gaming machine. Currently use GTX 980. I use Nobara distro, Nvidia works alright, no problems what so ever, but everyone here is saying that AMD cards works the best in Linux. So I am thinking to swap my Nvidia card for AMD RX 580. And what I want most is freesync/vrr, because how smooth it displays games. Does it work? Should I swap my card or is it pointless? I have read so many posts that where people claim it (vrr/ freesync) works, others says it doesn’t. I am so lost right now.

Multi-GPU AMD (primary) + NVidia (secondary) on Wayland
Hi all, I recently upgraded to a 7900xtx from my old GTX 1070 and it is a huge improvement. However, I was hoping to keep the 1070 in my desktop as a "secondary GPU" that could be used for Cuda & the likes. Almost every guide on Multi-GPU and PRIME offloading selects the NVidia GPU as the primary one. Once I installed the non-free NVidia drivers, I can confirm that this happens with my setup. I am also using Manjaro and wayland at the moment, which works great on my new AMD card. Some icing on the cake (not sure if possible) would be to drive my secondary monitors purely from the NVidia card and have the big AMD card solely for the primary gaming display, but I'm not sure how well this works on Wayland, I found that only the Nouveau drivers work for this type of thing and then my NVidia card is super limited (the displays plugged into the NVidia card run at <10hz and I can't get any readings from the card like temp/util). So in summary: contrary to common practice, I have a small NVidia dGPU and a big AMD dGPU and I want to force the AMD gpu to be the primary one but still keep the NVidia card around for specialized applications. Nouveau seems to possibly do what I want but is very limited. NVidia proprietary drivers immediately force the NVidia card to be the "primary GPU" and all applications are run on it (not desired!). Thanks for your help!

Minecraft No Audio on Arch
I have just installed Minecraft on Arch, everything is running smoothly except for the fact that there is no audio output whatsoever. I know this issue is probably something I have overlooked but I can't find the solution.
Minecraft doesn't appear as an Output Stream in Audio under System Settings.
Have tried switching from Pipewire to Pulseaudio which I am now currently using and it has not fixed the issue. Apologies if this is an easy fix as I am new to Linux entirely.

Eli5: dxvk and proton versions and a couple other questions in the text. Getting back into Linux after a decade and I want to play games, but all of this is over my head
I'm following guides and it doesn't work sometimes. I don't know how to troubleshoot, because I don't know what any of this means. I used Linux back in high school and college, but I graduated college 10 years ago so a lot of this is new.My questions:what are the different versions of dxvk and proton and how do I know which to use? What's the difference between bottles and lutris? It seems like bottles is like a sandboxed container and I'm trying to play overwatch which is on a separate drive. I've been reading bottles are easier, but I don't believe I can run a game that's installed on a separate drive than my OS.Whats the difference between synaptic, flatpak, etc. I've been distrohopping and I'm pretty sure I settled on mint, but there's many different repositories (?) that downloads applications. Flatpak seems to be the one that gives me the most issues.Edit: Ryzen 5 and 3060 ti. I'm not sure if any of the questions need my specs to be answered, but that's what's in my computer

How should I format my drive to maximize compatibility with games on Linux?
I just got a SATA Samsung 860 EVO 500gb SSD (only gave full name in case it's relevant somehow) and I had previously tried installing games off of my windows drive as kind of a second steam games location so then I would have more space for games, but I found out that a lot of newer, bigger, triple A games don't seem to run off of it. I tried troubleshooting that in just about every way I could find out how to, but no matter what it kept giving me a wine permissions issue. If possible I would want to be able to also be able to access the drive from my Windows drive aswell to maybe also install games or just put files and stuff. But if NTFS is an issue for Linux gaming then I'm fine with using filesystems only Linux can understand.

anti cheat fails to start on apex legends
I'm not sure whats wrong, because it was working like 4 days ago. Now, whenever I queue for a game, it gives me an error about the anti cheat not starting correctly. I have the proton easyanticheat runtime and all of the files seem to be verifying properly, yet nothing is working.

Maybe I should copy and burn a DVD with just the Windows files using my windows PC?
