It is the 1624th year after the death of Psydon. The sun has grown dark and given birth to the age of Eclipse. The priests of the Psydon claim this is the foretold return of Zizo and the battle for the fate of all Creation. Roguetown takes place in the fiefdom of Rockhill, in the monarchy of Psydonia. This place is known for its opportunity that brings folk from many distant lands. Built upon the ruins of the old age, its importance as the threshold of the kingdom cannot be overstated.

Roguetown II is set hundreds of years after the original server. Psydonia is the last kingdom of Humens. A technological golden age has come and passed, leaving behind rusted convenience. The Eclipse of Nine has burned the sky, foretelling the return of Zizo and the apocalypse. The Holy Queen is still around as an elderly tyrant that doesn't seem to die. Adventurers pick the corpses of old places, monsters thrive in the chaos outside the walls that Psydonian steelmasons build.
The one-god has come to claim all others. Paganism is banned in Psydonia following the last attempt of the desperate Sun-worshippers to overthrow the throne. Only the worship of the Psydon is allowed, even among non-humens. Pagans are either brutally murdered in conquest or 'baptized' into the faith. Most keep their paganism a secret from fanatics, fearing the wrath of the Psydonians.
Zizo worship has spread like plague, as have the methods of Archbishop to suppress them.
Humens have been split into three distinct types, Northern, Western, and Southern. Westerners are naturally lucky and the stat baseline now. Southern peoples are the greedy traders and pirates of the south seas. Northern people are former barbarians who act as the useful warriors. Situated in the convenient middle borderlands, a Duke of Roguetown can be any man from any region.
Elfs have been split into two castes again: Snow and Wood Elfs. Snow elves are intelligent and sadistic like Melniboneans, Wood Elfs are the perceptive and naturalistic lower class. Snow Elfs have access to most of the noble roles (excluding Duke), where Wood Elfs are the peasant caste in the Psydonian kingdom. Long live the enlightened ones.
Thanks to the work of the Maesters and their schoolhouses, most people in Psydonia are literate now. Only orphans, the very poor, and foreigners can't read the Imperial verba.
