In a recent political profile study, Kathleen Marchetti, an associate professor of political science at Dickinson College, reported that likely 93% of American pagans agree with policies supporting LGBTQ rights, a larger share than the 69% of non-pagans who do. According to a March 2021 PRRI report, the pagan community collectively shows the highest support for LGBTQ individuals of any religious group. The next closest are white mainline Protestants at 82%, followed by Hispanic Catholics at 81%, according to PRRI.”

But by the 17th century, the Chinese and Japanese were "darkening" in published texts, gradually losing their original "whiteness" when it became clear that they would remain unwilling to participate in European systems of trade, religion and international relations.
It was at the end of the 19th century that the notion of "yellow" became canonized in every European language (and East Asian ones). This was the invention of the so-called "Yellow Peril" in 1895, brought into worldwide circulation by an illustration about the potential onslaught of East Asian military aggression, social degradation, and emigration to the West. The Naturalization Act of 1790 was a law of the United States Congress that set the first uniform rules for the granting of United States citizenship by naturalization. The law limited naturalization to "free White person(s) ... of good character"
But what did the founding fathers of the United States understand by this?
One should not forget that the founding fathers were liberal thinkers inspired by the ideas of John Locke and Jean-Jacque Rousseau. To the founding fathers, the expression “Free White Persons of good character” implied the acceptance of Humanist Liberalism as an important socio-psychological factor. The founding fathers did not want to see the new world order recede back to the anti-liberal past of the old world order. It was important to them that the new stock of American citizenry maintain the values of Whig Humanist Liberalism.
Thus, to them, being a “free white person of good character” meant to be a Liberal or someone capable and willing to fully embrace Humanist Liberalism in time.

In 1776, a minority of revolutionaries formed a state in the New World called "The United States of America". In the old world, they were suppressed minorities under the rule of a traditional monarchial order. However, this liberal minority was now able to establish a social order where they would be the majority. This majority would now be known as "White people". They would allow "non-whites" in with the explicit purpose of maintaining a White Supremacy. This in of itself would be no issue if it remained this way. This white supremacy, however, did not stop at the borders of the US, but rather perpetually expanded war after war until it established the hegemony of the American Empire today.
