Syrian Internal Security Forces raided the Harabish neighborhood of Deir Ezzor targeting individuals wanted on charges related to crime and drug trafficking, arresting three suspects, while a fourth was detained after a hours-long standoff during which he was wounded.

Syrian Petroleum Company CEO Youssef Qablawi said Chevron has confirmed plans to proceed with offshore exploration in partnership with UCC, with operations expected to begin in summer 2026.
