Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa during a meeting with journalists and civil society activists:

๐Ÿ“Œ I don't encourage the policy of promises, saying we will do something in one, two, or three years. We are required to exert maximum effort and work with sincerity and precision.

๐Ÿ“Œ People have the right to complain and raise their voices, but that should not change our plans.

๐Ÿ“Œ I can work in emergency mode or with a firefighting approach, but that does not truly serve the people.

๐Ÿ“Œ Today people may demand electricity, so we spend all available money fixing electricity and say we have calmed them.

๐Ÿ“Œ But after two months they will ask: you solved this problemโ€”what about the second, the fourth, the tenth?

๐Ÿ“Œ A firefighting policy only exhausts us; it does not provide a comprehensive solution to our accumulated economic problems. Frankly, this is not a policy for a state.

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa during a meeting with journalists and civil society activists:

๐Ÿ“Œ A state operates according to rules and scientific systems, based on known capabilities and revenues, and works gradually to meet peopleโ€™s needs.

๐Ÿ“Œ Fulfilling everything people need all at once within a single year is impossible; anyone who promises that is simply not telling the truth.

๐Ÿ“Œ Even if hundreds of billions of dollars were suddenly available, studies and implementation alone would require enormous time and effort.

๐Ÿ“Œ Progress will come step by step each month. However, there are institutions that fall short in their work, which means that not everything goes according to plan.

๐Ÿ“Œ Sometimes, some institutions fall short in their work, they are negligent, and sometimes their discourse is not good, not appropriate, not timely.
