Syrian internal security forces in Jableh, Latakia province, arrested members of a gang accused of armed robbery while posing as security personnel.

Authorities identified the suspects following a victimโ€™s complaint and detained them, recovering stolen items including 56 gold liras, gold jewellery and $50,000 in cash, which were later returned to their owners.

According to reports, the Commander of the 70th Division said Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra informed him by phone that Essam Bouidani is expected to be released Thursday, following President Ahmed al-Sharaaโ€™s UAE visit and meeting with its president.
