A workshop was launched in Damascus, under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, bringing together the Syrian government, the UN Country Team, donor countries, and civil society organizations to coordinate efforts for sustainable development in Syria from 2027 to 2030.

The Ministry of Tourism is hosting the signing of “The Beaumont,” Syria’s first integrated tourism project, today, April 7, at the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus.

The project aims to develop the tourism sector, attract investment, and strengthen public-private cooperation. The ceremony includes senior officials, ambassadors, investors, and regional and international tourism representatives.

On the 8th anniversary of the chemical attack in Douma, east of Damascus, where dozens of civilians were killed in a reported chemical weapons strike by the former regime, the victims’ families are holding a commemoration, stating that the truth should not be forgotten and that those responsible must be held accountable.

Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani received Indonesia’s ambassador to Syria, Luqman Hakim Siregar, in Damascus and was presented with a copy of his letters of credence.

Transport ministers from Syria, Jordan, and Turkey—Yarub Badr, Nidal Al-Qatamin, and Abdulkadir Uraloglu—met in Amman and signed agreements and memorandums of understanding to strengthen cooperation across transport sectors.

The measures aim to boost regional connectivity, ease the movement of passengers and goods, and improve logistics and infrastructure, with implementation starting immediately and continuing for three years.
