Israeli forces entered Ain Ziwan in southern Quneitra, marking the third reported incursion today.

According to local sources, Lebanese Army units and intelligence services raided residential areas for Syrian refugees in Tripoli’s Jabal Mohsen over the presence of individuals suspected of ties to remnants of the former Syrian regime.

The move followed remarks by Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Metri urging action and cooperation with Syrian authorities.

UK Ministry of Defence:

📌 The British Air Force and French aircraft carried out a joint strike on an underground facility near Palmyra, Syria.

📌 The facility that was targeted was located underground in the mountains a few miles north of Palmyra.

📌 Intelligence analysis revealed that the facility targeted near Palmyra was under the control of ISIS.

📌 Preliminary indicators suggest the target was successfully destroyed, with no signs that civilians were put at risk.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced that on Monday, 5 January 2026, between 2:00 and 5:00 a.m., a controlled demolition of war remnants will take place near Damascus International Airport.
