Latakia security commander Abdulaziz al-Ahmad said forces carried out an operation near Jableh targeting a cell called Saraya al-Jawad, which is linked to former Major General Suhayl al-Hasan of the former Assad regime, accused of assassinations, field executions, bombings, and attacks on security forces.
