Tonight ends the second round of elections in France, during which opponents as different and as similar to each other as Le Pen, Macron and Mélenchon came together in the fight for the votes of voters. And they are similar in one thing - hatred of movements not under the control of the establishment.
In 2022, radical Parisian youth revived the spirit of the spring of 1968 in the form of Groupe Union Defense Paris - known in narrow circles as an association of students and youth.
The successes in becoming increasingly popular and fighting the left-wing violence that GUD faced caused concern among all the "popular" candidates - from Jordan Bardela's statements about the need to ban "hate groups", the "fight against fascism" of the New People's Front and the final ban of GUD by the Liberal government.
This again demonstrates to us that any election in modern Europe is a farce, an illusion of choice. True revolutionaries have no place in the struggle between national liberals and social liberals. Take part in boring reshuffles in high offices or create a revolution in yourself and around you – the choice is yours.
