CLAT 2025 Court Hearing Summary (Delhi High Court) – 9th April Update

Judgment Reserved:

The Delhi High Court has reserved its judgment on the CLAT UG matter.

Pending Petition from Madras HC:
The Consortium has been given 2 weeks to file an affidavit regarding a petition that hasn't yet been transferred from the Madras High Court.

Reference Question Scrapped:
The court has accepted that the Quantitative Aptitude question related to "least wages to women" should be removed from evaluation.

Legal Reasoning Questions
A petitioner challenged 4 questions from the Legal Reasoning section, claiming they were out of syllabus. However, the court observed that since these weren’t challenged during the 24-hour objection window, they will not be entertained now, as doing so would lead to a “never-ending streak” of such claims.

Underlining Issue at Exam Centres:
A candidate raised the issue of not being allowed to underline during the exam at their center. The court has directed the Consortium to file an affidavit and improve their grievance redressal mechanism regarding such operational lapses.

Final Verdict Timeline:

-Judgment on the answer key challenge is reserved.

-The underlining-related issue will be taken up again on 2nd May.

-A final verdict on the paper, ambiguities, and results is expected in the next few days to a week.
