Hi guys!
Over the last few days, we've seen n number of messages on why LE hasn't filed any petition or supported students owing to the CLAT fiasco. While its perfectly justified from kids to think that it's because LE has got quite a lot of toppers to celebrate, or they're super busy with their next session or they've just moved on deserting us midway, for those of you who care for nuances, the reason isn't that simple.
Over the last 12-13 years, we've seen some major CLAT fiascos. In 2012, the paper which was set went against their own notification. Matter went to the SC. The college which set the paper apologized and that was it. A lot of kids wasted quite a few weeks in this and didn't study well for other entrances in a hope for a reexam. Injustice on the top of injustice.
Cut to 2015, when the paper had a lot of irrelevant questions (as they were picked up from CAT books). Late Shamnad Basheer Sir, who were were in touch with for providing a lot of industry inputs, filed a petition that year for a permanent CLAT body. We were involved at backend as LE has been associated with IDIA, the organisation Shamnad Sir started for training underprivileged students for free, since the last 12-13 years now (Harsh Sir was MP Head of IDIA for 5-6 years). However, nothing happened on that petition for FOUR WHOLE years and then in 2019, Shamnad Sir tragically passed away.
Cut to 2018, when CLAT used to be held Online. This year, there was atleast 15-20 different type of issues were there in the CLAT paper, right from certain coded questions to no ACs in Comp labs to time getting lost by thousands of kids to maladministration at certain centres to certain errors in final answer key and a lot more. There was national hue and cry that year and every prominent media reported it (Google "CLAT 2018 mismanagement"). Though LE couldn't file any petition directly (since none of us wrote the paper, we had no locus standi but we supported it wholeheartedly. Check this tweet from 2018 - https://x.com/vensykrishna/status/996759910854443009?lang=en)
What happened in the year of the BIGGEST CLAT FIASCO? No reCLAT. No stopping of counselling. Just a few candidates were given additional grace marks not because of errors or anything but because backend of their online test showed that they got less than 120 minutes for CLAT. That's it!
However, in 2020, NLSIU conducted its own examination by the name NLAT, owing to repeated delays in CLAT (owing to pandemic). It was full of mismanagement (Harsh Sir wrote about it here - https://www.livelaw.in/columns/the-mess-that-was-nlat-162839). This year, one of our Centre Heads at that time filed a petition and got the exam cancelled, as it was an Online exam with dozens of videos of cheating and there was no way any court could have stayed silent here. And the exam got cancelled 🙂

You know, we lived each and every of these exams. Just liked we lived this year's CLAT. In 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2020. We saw what happened in the exam just like this year. We saw what worked, what didn't. Where the system got changed and where it didn't. Where there was even a slightest hint of getting things changed, we acted swiftly (w/o the media coverage btw, for which maximum people do these things).
While this year's conduction right from the release of first Sample Paper to the release of final answer key has been full of errors from the side of Consortium and has been terribly unfair for most of you, we know SC doesn't budge in such cases. Same thing happened with CLAT PG petition. Yes, we can go on YT and demand justice for CLAT aspirants, agitate you guys and show that we're in support of you and get a lot of views and likes in return. But we can't do that knowing that it'll just raise your hopes for the next few more weeks. You'll feel when such a leading institute is saying something publicly, something has to be done. ReCLAT, stopping of counselling process, Consortium apologizing — something will be done!!

But we'll just be stopping you from moving on. Moving on to other exams, your school exams or just taking a well deserved break after a gruelling year. We'll stop you not because we know something will change but just to make us look good in front of all of you.
So we did what what someone in our position of responsibility should be doing. Yes, we're celebrating toppers. But the last week saw the team a lot more involved in CLAT Helpline, Rank Predictor, n number of YT videos (beyond topper interviews 🙂), Mentors are back to one-to-one counselling (seeing Mentors consoling kids virtually and in person daily), your 'Admin' started his/her daily conversations with kids around how they're feeling and a lot lot more. Oh and yes, we didn't leave the Consortium either. We tried to get the Consortium to answer questions through one of the connects on what's their stand on things and if there's any chance of any change now (https://www.thehindu.com/education/clat-2025-what-goes-wrong-every-year-and-how-it-can-be-avoided/article68973114.ece). The replies were predictable in nature though 🙂
Any institute of our size has to get used to criticism. That's how we've always kept improving. We could have also ignored all these comments as fair/unfair criticism. But for all LEtians who trusted the judgment of LE till now, we felt that you guys should know our stand and why is it this way. Call it tough love, but we'll keep doing what we know is right for every 17-18 year old who has trusted us, even if they might not understand it right now.
Thoda lamba ho gaya. But bahut days ka accumulated bhi tha. Night kiddos :)

R. Ashwin rewrote the story of resilience, strategy, and perseverance. His journey reminds us that building a LEgacy isn’t about overnight success; it’s about showing up, every single day, with unwavering determination.
From his first over to his final match, Ashwin inspired us with his brilliance, but more importantly, with his heart—his love for the game, his constant hunger to learn, and his Ash-piration to leave a mark that goes beyond records.
Here’s to the man who taught us that LEgacies aren’t born; they are built, brick by brick, with every challenge, every triumph, and every ounce of effort.
PS: All Ashwin fans drop a heart ❤️

Story time guys….
So felt the need of writing this after reading Kashvi’s long message…
The impact that the CLAT setback has on you
First life will not always give you what you want….but it gives you “what you need”
Amitabh Bachchan was once rejected by All India Radio for having a baritone they deemed too heavy
Oprah Winfrey wanted to be a news anchor and she was rejected for being unfit for television
All Potter Heads would know that J.K. Rowling was turned down a gazillion times before Harry Porter became what we know it today
Walt Disney wanted to be newspaper illustrator and was fired from a job at a newspaper for lack of creativity
Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team
Admin’s favourite MS Dhoni wanted to be footballer guys…..
To sum up it all….going for OLETs or anything other than the NATIONAL LAW SCHOOL you dreamt of might seem like you are settling for less…but God’s plan over yours…
Have faith in your potential, your hard work…Don’t let an exam tell you what you are capable of
One a very personal note Admin had set out to do something else, has had fair share of setbacks and Admin still cribs them like a lot about how things didn’t workout and Admin is still trying to get there while being your Admin full time
In a nutshell at times you have to change the plan to reach your goal….
Baaki karloge yaar tum❣️

Hey Guys,
So by now, you must have read the Delhi High Court judgment in the case of Aditya Singh v. Consortium of National Law Universities wherein the Petitioner challenged the final answer key of CLAT 2025, specifically disputing the evaluation of five questions (Nos. 14, 37, 67, 68, and 100) from Question Paper Set-A. , and you probably have a ton of questions more so specifically WHAT NEXT?
Admin has also read and re read the 29-page judgment and been trying to make sense and understand its legal implications.
Here's a brief of the Court’s Findings
Question No. 14: Agreed with the petitioner. Option C was deemed correct. Marks will be awarded to all candidates who chose this option.
Question No. 37: Petitioner’s claim was rejected. The court upheld Option D (none of the above), as both conditions — census and delimitation — were mentioned in the passage.
Question No. 67: The court held that No infirmity is found with the answer key to Question No. 67.
Question No. 68: Upheld Option C. Held No interference is warranted in Question No. 68.
Question No. 100: Agreed with the petitioner that the question should be excluded, as the correct answer (Sohan) was not among the options provided.
Judicial Principles Applied
- Courts presume the correctness of the answer key unless clear, demonstrable errors exist that don’t require inferential reasoning.
- Deference is given to expert committees in academic matters unless glaring mistakes are evident.
Conclusion
- The petition was partially allowed.
- Marks will be revised for Question No. 14, and Question No. 100 will be excluded for all candidates. The remaining objections were dismissed.
What’s Next?
So far, there’s no update from the Consortium regarding the implementation of the court’s directives. This means:
- Revised results: Not sure when? Wil there be? Let's wait
- Changes in scores: Pending recalculations...
- Updated rankings: Let's wait
Let’s see how this unfolds, will there be an Appeal by the Consortium? — how and when these updates will be released is yet to be clarified.
Will keep you posted

Hey Guys,
Admin won't lie but Admin is worked up about a gazillion things and while this might not be remotely close to what you are going through owing to what seems like a never ending line up of litigations, deluge of opinions on what should be done, accusations flying around..... this situation is starting to feel like a Nolan movie—so intricate and convoluted that breaking it all down seems almost impossible.
keeping the rant aside

Hi Guys,
🚨Urgent Update CLAT 2025🚨
Heard the Delhi High Court hearing live in the appeal by the Consortium against the Single Bench judgment in the case of Aditya Singh v. Consortium of National Law Universities.
The Division Bench held that, prima facie, there is no error in the decision of the Single Judge Bench, and they concur with the judgment.
The Division bench refused to interfere with other questions on account that it's not within the purview of Judicial Review
There is no interim Order and the Court held, "you can go ahead with the result.
There is no stay order and that the Pendency of this Petition should not be construed as placing a cloud on the results, which may be reworked as per the single judge order.
If the petitioners wish to challenge other questions, the matter is listed for 7th January; however, the same will involve exemplary costs.
Once the order is uploaded, Admin will share detailed insights.
