Women’s Day
It’s the day to celebrate
It’s the day to think
For all that the world have done
To the charming colour pink
They blocked off her way
They chased her that day
They stormed all her life
Her blurred eyes did say
An unarmed woman
With self arrested courage
They pulled down her confidence
With their harsh and sharp image
They found her so helpless
They made her to cry
They turned her life to hell
And forced her to die
But let me say a word
A word full of hope
She made her way out
And learned how to cope
A woman, a mother, a wife
With patience she strives
Caring, bearing and working
Still struggling with life…

THE GIANT TURNIP
Once, not too long ago, an old man planted a turnip. The turnip grew, and grew, and grew some more until it was enormous. The old man started to pull the turnip out of the ground. He pulled and pulled, but it was just too big for one man alone. So he called his wife to help.
The old woman took hold of the old man, the old man took hold of the turnip and they pulled and pulled, but could not pull it out. The turnip was just too big. So the old woman called her granddaughter to help.
The granddaughter took hold of the old woman, the old woman took hold of the old man, the old man took hold of the turnip and they pulled and pulled. But the turnip was just too big and they could not pull it out. So the granddaughter called the dog over to help.
The dog took hold of the granddaughter, the granddaughter took hold of the old woman, the old woman took hold of the old man, the old man took hold of the turnip and they all pulled and pulled. But still they could not pull the turnip out. So the dog called the cat over to help.
The cat took hold of the dog, the dog took hold of the granddaughter, the granddaughter took hold of the old woman, the old woman took hold of the old man, the old man took hold of the turnip and they pulled and pulled. It seemed impossible, but still they could not pull it out. So the cat called the mouse over to help.
The mouse took hold of the cat, the cat took hold of the dog, the dog took hold of the granddaughter, the granddaughter took hold of the old woman, the old woman took hold of the old man, the old man took hold of the turnip. They all pulled and pulled, and pulled some more --and finally out came the turnip!
It took the help of the tiny mouse to finally pull out the turnip. The lesson is that there is value in even the smallest and least among us.

Storyteller: Once upon a time there lived an old man. The man has got a seed. He goes in the garden puts the seed in the ground.
Grandpa: Grow, little turnip, grow big and small.
The sun: Grow up, little turnip, grow up! It’s warm!
The rain: Drink, little turnip, drink and grow!
Storyteller: The seed grows and grows. It’s a turnip. The man’s happy. Look, there are green leaves on the turnip.
Grandpa: Oh, it’s my turnip. It’s a big turnip. I must pull it out. ( Тянет дед репку, а вытянуть не может. Зовёт на помощь бабку ) Oh, dear! It’s so big. So big! I can’t pull it out! Grandma, come here and help me!
Grandma: What’s that, my dear?
Grandpa: Help me to pull the turnip out!
Grandma: O’key (Тянут-потянут, а вытянуть не могут)
Storyteller: Grandma pulls the grandpa!
Grandpa pulls the turnip!

The flag of Uzbekistan (Uzbek: Oʻzbekiston davlat bayrogʻi) consists of three horizontal blue, white and green bands separated by two thin red fimbriations, with a crescent moon and twelve stars at the canton. Adopted in 1991 to replace the flag of the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR), it has been the flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan since the country gained independence in that same year. The design of the present flag was partly inspired by the former one.
