#PSA To improve your commuting experience, we will be starting refurbishment of older escalators in #NSEWL ❤️💚 and #NEL 💜🚇 stations.

These escalators come with improved features like dual speed, which allows the escalators to operate at different speeds during peak and non-peak hours. 🔁

🛠️ Works are expected to start in 2026 and complete in 2032. During the refurbishment, we will put in place measures to minimise inconvenience to commuters, such as carrying out works in stages. 🙏
#PSA 📢🚇 As announced at #COS2024, the BPLRT will resume dual loop operations during off-peak hours on Saturdays from 16 Mar 2024.

BPLRT services will also be adjusted from 22 Mar to 30 Jun 2024, for testing of new trains and systems.

Do refer to the visual for these updates.
#PSA As announced during #COS2024, improvement works will be carried out from this month until end 2024 on the platforms of Sengkang LRT to improve commuter flow.

During the period of improvement works, there will be no change to how commuters board and alight the LRT.
#PSA We’re happy to update that the integration of the Circle Line (#CCL) with our existing rail network will be completed more than a month ahead of schedule! Thanks to the early completion, train services on the CCL will resume normal operations from this Sat, 6 Apr 2024. 🥳

#DidYouKnow that these works were initially expected to conclude in May? Thanks to the collective efforts by our engineers and operator to streamline and optimise work processes based on site conditions, as well as the additional resources put in by our contractors to support 24/7 operations, we could complete the track works in 77 days instead of 126 as originally planned. 🛠️🗓️ This has allowed us to go back to business as usual and reduce the inconvenience to commuters.

A big #ThankYou to all commuters for your patience as we continue to work hard to improve everyone’s rail journeys. 🚇🧡
#PSA We will redistribute the Cat E Temporary COEs that expired between Jan to Mar 2024 to Cat A, B and C in proportion to their respective contributions to Cat E.

The #COE quota for May to Jul 2024 is 15,104, 3% higher than last quarter.
As we progress with the phased installation of the OBU for ERP 2.0, we have been making enhancements to provide motorists with more choice, convenience, and safety.

Here're some options you can have about the installation of your OBU.

#PSA For those of you who are wondering about whether the OBU would drain your car battery, the short answer is no. When the vehicle ignition is turned off, the OBU will also switch to sleep mode, which is even lower than the power drawn by the IU today.
#PSA From 27 May to 23 June 2024, the #ERP rates will be reduced at the following locations and time periods during the June school holidays.

Pre-school holiday rates will be reinstated from 24 June 2024 onwards. The rates for other gantries remain unchanged.

#PSA We’ve awarded the contract for the design and construction of Turf City station (working name) and tunnels under the Cross Island Line (#CRL) Phase 2 to Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (Singapore) – Obayashi Corporation Joint Venture. Construction works are expected to start in Q3 2024. 🚧

When CRL2 starts operating in 2032, commuters can save up to 25 minutes in their estimated travel time when commuting from Turf City to Pasir Ris Central! 🤩🚇

#DidYouKnow Before commencing excavation and construction works for the station structure 🏗, earth retaining and stabilising structures will be installed to ensure safety and ground stability.
#PSA We’ve just approved 4️⃣ sandbox trials for battery charging and swapping system (BCSS) for electric heavy goods vehicles (eHGVs) and mobile charging systems (MCS).

The BCSS sandbox has been awarded to PSA Corporation and a consortium comprising Strides Frontiers Pte Ltd and Ecoswift Pte Ltd to provide battery swapping services for eHGVs. 🚛⚡️ These trials will allow LTA to better understand the technical and operational requirements of BCSS technologies. The resulting insights may be incorporated in upcoming reviews of our national EV charging standard, Technical Reference 25 (#TR25).

To assess the viability of mobile EV charging services, we have also awarded the MCS sandbox to Power-Up Tech Pte Ltd and Beecharge Innovation Group Pte Ltd. 🔌🔋These trials will similarly provide insights into the usage patterns for MCS and allow the industry to demonstrate the safety aspects of their solutions.

#PSA 🟣 We will be carrying out testing and commissioning works to integrate the new Punggol Coast station to the existing North East Line (#NEL) network.

To facilitate these works, there will be temporary service adjustments on NEL on four Sundays from 30 Jun to 21 Jul 2024.

📆 30 Jun, 7, 14 & 21 Jul 2024: All NEL stations will commence passenger service from 8am.

Shuttle bus services will be provided for affected commuters. Do plan your journeys ahead and use other rail lines or bus services.

#PSA 📢 We’ll be conducting #ExerciseStationGuard at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station on 6 Aug (Tues) from 10am to 4pm.

During this period, commuters may be asked to undergo security screening through metal detectors and have their belongings scanned by X-ray machines.

💡 #TravelTip Factor in additional time 🕰 for your journey and avoid bringing bulky items as these may require more time to clear security checks.

🗓📍 Such emergency preparedness exercises are conducted regularly to ensure everyone stays vigilant and operationally ready if there’s an emergency at our public transport nodes. They also help familiarise commuters on how they should respond in such situations. #SGSecure
#PSA 📣 Teck Lee #LRT station will start operating on 15 Aug 2024 – #GoodNews for those commuting to the new Singapore Institute of Technology (#SIT) campus and the Punggol Digital District (#PDD)!

Yesterday, we caught four drivers and impounded their Malaysian-registered vehicles for providing illegal cross-border chauffeured services between Singapore and Malaysia.

#PSA We take these offences very seriously and will not condone drivers providing such illegal services. For your safety, do avoid using these services as they are not only illegal, but may also lack adequate insurance coverage which poses a serious risk for passengers, should an accident occur.

#Reminder Drivers caught providing illegal hire-and-reward services, including cross-border trips without a valid Public Service Vehicle Licence (#PSVL), can be fined up to $3,000, imprisoned for up to six months, or both. Additionally, vehicles involved may also be forfeited.

#PSA 🚧 From 18 Aug, 5am, the cross junction between Ang Mo Kio Avenues 5 and 6 will be temporarily converted to a signalised roundabout to facilitate the construction of the North-South Corridor (#NSC). This will create sufficient space for the works to proceed safely.

Motorists and commuters are advised to plan their journey ahead and follow road signage and markings along the affected roads. Thank you for your understanding. 🙏🏽👷🏽
