#KeepCalmAndCycleOn 🚴🏽‍♂️🚴‍♀️ We’re giving the cycling network in #Tampines a leg up! 💪🏼 A tender has just been called for the construction of more cycling infrastructure to better connect people to various places within Tampines and its nearby towns. 🏘🚲

When ongoing improvements and the works under the new tender are completed in 2026, Tampines will have an additional 13km of cycling paths, bringing its entire network to around 30km! 🥳

🙌🏽 Hurray to better cycling journeys ahead, and even more reasons to #GoGreen and #MoveLite! 💚🚴🏼

#KeepCalmAndCycleOn We just launched 14.5km of new cycling paths in Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and Toa Payoh - that’s more than three times of what they have right now! 🎉

🚴🏼🚶🏻‍♂️ As part of this, we created more space for walking and cycling by repurposing road spaces, and also improved bus stops and zebra crossings to enhance safety and accessibility.

🚏🚆These efforts will improve first and last mile connectivity to surrounding MRT stations. With the wider cycling network, residents will also find nearby amenities to be more easily accessible.

In the coming years, there will be even more reasons to #GoGreen and #MoveLite as we add at least another 23km of cycling paths in these towns!

#SafeRidesHappyRides Combined with our regulatory measures and public education efforts, there has been a marked improvement in path safety. We hope that these infrastructural improvements will contribute further to this.

👀 Read on to find out more about these changes we’ve made in these three towns! 😎
#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Cycling for leisure or regular commutes continues to be a popular travel mode, be it on our cycling paths or roads. In addition to growing our cycling path network, we are trying out the possibility of allocating dedicated road space for larger group cycling during low traffic periods. The trial of this concept , a Sunday cycling lane at West Camp Road, was launched today. 🎉

🤝 As more of us #GoGreen and take up cycling to #MoveLite, it is important to further improve understanding between motorists and cyclists on our roads. To this end, we’ve just unveiled a new road safety handbook today, providing handy tips for both groups to safely navigate on our roads.

👀 Check out the new cycling lane, and a few on-road tips for cyclists and motorists (more to come!).

#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Move around The Central Business District (#CBD) more easily with 6km of new cycling paths!

🚴🏽‍♀️ The new paths will bring the cycling network in the area to 21km. Look out for more to come! 🙌🏽

🚏🅿️🚲 With the cycling paths connecting numerous MRT stations and around 4,800 public bicycle parking spaces in the area, commuters will have better first-and-last-mile connectivity and more reasons to #MoveLite. 🙋🏽‍♀️

🏣 What’s more, 14 developments in the area have also tapped on our Active Commute Grant (ACG) to provide end-of-trip facilities for cyclists. These include lockers, showers and changing rooms. With these improvements and our expanding islandwide cycling network, cyclists can also #GoGreen and commute entirely via their bicycles!

👀 Check out some photos from the launch this morning and the recent improvements made in the Central Area! 😎

#KeepCalmAndCycleOn 🚴🏻It is going to be even easier to cycle in the Northeast and East side!
We have just called a tender for new cycling paths in seven towns in the two regions.

🚴🏽‍♀️🚶🏾To be completed from 2024, the paths will improve links within each town and to nearby towns. Residents will enjoy more space for walking and cycling. These will be created through widening existing paths, adjusting facilities such as bus stops and drains, and repurposing road space if necessary.

#CyclingAhead These paths will add to the more than 530km of cycling paths today, enroute to our goal of some 1,300km by 2030. 💪🏼

🙌🏽 Hurray to better cycling journeys ahead, and even more reasons to #GoGreen and #MoveLite! 💚🚴🏼
#ICYMI From rail to roads, our transport infrastructure is becoming greener and more energy-efficient! #GoGreen
As part of our sustainability efforts, we have replaced more than 99% of the High Pressure Sodium (HPS) street lights under LTA to LED ones. 🌱💡

Not only are LED lights more reliable and consume less energy ⚡️, they also last 7 years longer than the HPS lights. 🙌🏽

#MoreToCome In the coming months, we will also introduce a new Remote Control Monitoring System to allow our street lights to be managed remotely, saving more time and maintenance efforts. 🧑🏻‍🔧

#KeepCalmAndCycleOn We’ve just completed the cycling network in #BukitPanjang !

🚴🏽‍♀️🚶🏻With an addition of 8.5km of cycling paths, there are up to 16km of cycling paths and park connectors in the town.

↔️ To make space for these paths, we worked closely with stakeholders such as schools and also repurposed some of the existing road space where necessary. #MoreSpaceForYou

👨‍👩‍👧 Residents will now find it easier than ever to #GoGreen and #MoveLite by walking or cycling to amenities around the town or to Bukit Panjang MRT and LRT stations. 🙌🏽

👀 Check out the improvements! 😎
#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Look forward to greater connectivity with more cycling paths coming up in the city and city fringe areas! 🚴

We’ve just called a tender for new cycling paths in and around the city area, hot on the wheels of our last tender in Jan 2023 to improve active mobility infrastructure in seven towns.

🚶🚵 To be completed from 2024, the paths will improve cycling connectivity in areas such as Bukit Merah, Telok Blangah, Kallang and the city. Residents will find it even easier to reach key amenities and transport nodes. The paths will also contribute to our goal of some 1,300km of cycling paths by 2030. #MoreToCome 💪

Here’s to better cycling journeys, and even more reasons to #GoGreen and #MoveLite! 💚 🚴
#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Bicycle sharing services, which support our drive towards a car-lite society, are favoured by many for first-last mile connections today.

🚲 A variety of operators provide this service to commuters, with new entrants given a sandbox licence to operate a limited fleet of bicycles for a year. This ensures that the landscape remains open to new ideas and innovations to strengthen service standards further. 💪🏼

The newest of these operators, HelloRide, has now been granted a full licence to operate bicycle sharing in Singapore! 💙🚴‍♂️

#HelloConvenience 👋🏼 as we continue our efforts to make it more accessible for everyone to #GoGreen and #MoveLite!
#KeepCalmAndCycleOn Look forward to new cycling paths in the West and Queenstown!

We’ve just called a tender for new cycling paths in Bukit Batok, Clementi, Jurong West and Queenstown. This will contribute to our goal of 1,300km of cycling paths by 2030. 💪🏼

🚴🏽‍♀️🏡 To be progressively completed from 2024, the new paths will allow residents in the West to cycle more easily to key amenities in their neighbourhood. #GreenerRidesAbound 🚆🚌🛍️🏬

#GoGreen What’s more, in all our upcoming tenders for cycling paths, we’ll also require that low carbon concrete be used in construction. 🌿
