🎉👏🏻 #ProgressUpdate The first phase of the #RoadRepurposing trial at Kampung Admiralty has ended. We will now be moving on to the next phase where the changes will be implemented permanently. We also took on the feedback from the community in the initial phase and the following changes will be made in Phase 2:
🚶🏻♂️The lane along Woodlands Ring Road (between Woodlands Drive 71 and Woodlands Drive 63) nearer to Kampung Admiralty will be permanently pedestrianised.
🚗🚌 From mid Aug, both buses and private vehicles will be allowed to travel in a single direction (eastbound from Woodlands Drive 71 towards Woodlands Drive 63)
✨🚲There will be a new bus stop for bus services 901M and 912/A in front of Kampung Admiralty along Woodlands Ring Road, as well as cycling paths and new covered linkways to increase connectivity.

We are permanently transforming the shopfront area along 715 and 745 Havelock Road after a trial. From what used to be a narrow path, the new path will become one that is wider and more accessible to the elderly and disabled.
Since walking or cycling around the area will soon be more convenient, so why not try leaving your car at home when popping by the area? 😉 #GreenerCommutes

#PSA We’ve just launched a Request for Proposal for a Master Plan consultancy to remake the surface streets along the North-South Corridor (#NSC)!
As we progressively complete the NSC’s tunnel and viaduct, surface streets along the corridor, such as Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Ophir Road, can be repurposed (~30 football fields of space!) to give more priority for walking, cycling, buses, and community spaces. 🚴🏽♂️🚶🏻♀️🚌
#DoYouKnow that we’ve been engaging residents and other stakeholders on their ideas (see photos above!) for these spaces since July 2023? #NowYouKnow 🏘️👨👩👧👦
We’re now inviting experienced multi-disciplinary consultancy firms to develop a Master Plan to repurpose these spaces to promote #WalkCycleRide and make the streets along the corridor safer, more pleasant and welcoming for everyone!
