#ICYMI - We will be starting construction works for the first of five #FriendlyStreets pilot locations! 🎉 This will make daily commutes in our ‘hoods more convenient, safer, and inclusive for everyone - especially for families with children, seniors, and those with mobility needs.

Each neighbourhood will have features co-created with the community, catering to the unique needs of each town. Such features include:

☀️ More barrier-free crossings to improve accessibility;
☀️ Longer crossing times at signalised junctions; and
☀️ Traffic-calming measures e.g. road humps or narrowing road lanes to slow motorists down.

This helps to reduce the overall volume of waste and materials required, promoting a circular economy approach ♻️ where waste materials are utilised as resources rather than discarded. 🌱 #MyGoGreenFlags
