The Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) has confirmed the death of boxer Jacob Oyoko after collapsing during a bout.

A viral video shows Oyoko struggling before the referee stopped the fight. He received CPR and oxygen at ringside before being rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

KPBC has launched an independent investigation covering medical checks, fight conditions, and referee decisions, with a post-mortem also ordered.
