This is not a constitutional convention of States, just a convention of states to talk about how to preserve people's constitutional rights and election reform. Very big difference.
I am seeing some comments suggesting that I somehow was bought off by going home after session ended. I understand the frustration and I am not comfortable going home especially after a new subpoena is about to be issued. However I could tell that I was not going to be able to stop the other senators from going home after the 3rd longest Session in Arizona history. I don't know that everyone understands how important it was to stay in session in case we need to enforce the subpoena, or maybe they do understand but gave up because Paul Boyer was never going to vote yes to hold the county supervisors in contempt so we therefore don't have the votes regardless even if we were in session. It's frustrating knowing you have the means to take care of the issue but because of people like him, you cannot.

Here is my backup plan.
I negotiated a special committee to review the outcome of the audit to decide if we should call for a special session. Other committees like the Judiciary committee could do the same thing in calling for that special session and so could the house as well as you, the public. I want to believe that the Governor will call the session for us. In the event that he does not or that we never get the items we need to finish the audit, then here is my next plan.

As for any legislation that is needed to ensure we have a secure election for the primary, we will need to close session by April 30th in order for the 90 days to pass in time for the laws to be an effect before the primary. If that cannot happen due to the struggles of only having a one seat majority then my last option is to get the election reforms into the 2022 budget which will become effective immediately once it is signed by the Governor. Those provisions will need to have an appropriation attached in order to be in the budget.

I am not giving up, I have not sold out or been bought off, I am moving my chess pieces on behalf of you the best I can under the circumstances. Our biggest problem right now is not being able to enforce the subpoena but as you can see, having people like Paul Boyer make that next to impossible anyway. That is my call to you. Please make sure he is not reelected in the August primary of 2022 .Support Anthony Kern who will be challenging him and I will be putting up information regarding his campaign shortly so that you can donate. You are not powerless, and we will tackle this one way or another.
In this Epoch times article, Senator Michelle Ugenti-Rita (candidate for Arizona 's top elections official) reveals to the reporter her limited understanding of the magnitude of the impact of her actions on killing election security bills in Arizona. I am determined to educate the public regarding her actions and behavior, indeed. When asked about my efforts, she completely misses the mark.

She is quoted as saying that I have some grudge against her because she got a chairmanship. Apart from being completely ridiculous, she misses the fact that my beef with her is that she killed my serious election security bills regarding chain of custody, not even giving them the time of day. I do care everything about this country and about preserving the right to a free and fair election in Arizona, it is not at all personal. Her perspective is so very shallow and limited that it's not really worth discussing other than to continue to expose who she truly is.

In her world, it's about pettiness. As a US Navy veteran, I filter everything through the lens of Constitutinal rigor and preserving free and fair elections.. Michelle Ugenti-Rita's mind is still in the realm of High School and she cannot seem to fathom that her actions harm the people of this state. Please remember that.

Arizona State Senate to Subpoena Election Routers, Passwords a Second Time

Arizona election audit spokesman Randy Pullen said the state senate will subpoena the routers and passwords that are still being withheld by election officials. He announced the state’s plans to issue the subpoena on Wednesday while noting it has been difficult to complete the audit without information on the routers and passwords.”

While the actual interview that OAN is citing as the source for this information is vague, Senator Kelly Townsend just confirmed that a new subpoena will be issued.

Will the County Supervisors respond differently to a second subpoena for the same information? Out of session (and without Boyer’s cooperation), the Senate has no subpoena enforcement power. Hopefully, they have more tools in their arsenal than limp subpoenas that are likely to be ignored.

I just confirmed that it is not yet certain if we will need a second subpoena. It was said on OAN last night but it wasn't 100% accurate. Stand by for more info.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Senator Kelly Townsend Reacts to the Supreme Court Ruling that upholds Arizona's Election Integrity Laws
JULY 1, 2021
Phoenix, AZ

Today, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld Arizona's right to enact laws that protect election integrity by ensuring ballots can only be carried by the voter and their immediate family members, and ensuring provisional ballots are cast at the correct precinct. In the 6-3 decision in Brnovich v. Democrat National Committee, a decisive blow was dealt to anyone wishing to game the system through ballot harvesting.

Senator Townsend expressed her satisfaction with the decision. "The issue of voter suppression of minorities was dismissed, and the cause of free and fair elections triumphed." Townsend continued, "Although I am sure the defense of good voter integrity laws was costly, I believe it was worth every cent. Hopefully from now on, Democrats can join us in an effort to bolster security so that every voter is confident that their vote was received and counted, without being negated by those breaking the rules."

"My colleagues and I have been diligently trying to close the loopholes that make it easy for cheats, strengthen the chain of custody of the ballot, and improve transparency so that everyone can rest assured Arizona's election is fair. I am grateful to General Brnovich for seeing this through to the end."

Senator Townsend also expressed gratitude that the US Supreme Court recognized the importance of election integrity and hopes that all Arizonans are able to easily and securely cast a ballot in the 2022 primary.

"We just passed many more major election security reforms, yet we still have work to do. I am committed to seeing that through."

Just spoke with the Honorable AZ State Senator from the 5th District, Sonny Borrelli.

He has put my mind at ease about the past couple of days regarding AZ and the audit.

He informed me that The Honorable AZ State Senator Kelly Townsend has shown amazing leadership in restoring Voter Integrity to AZ.

I think letting things play out the next month or so makes sense. I'll be putting together meaningful steps of how we can help the effort.
I will be going on Frankspeech.com tonight at 7:50 p.m. central time I believe. I would like to talk about patience and fatigue when it comes to the results of the audit, along with the Supreme Court ruling. I would like to mention all of you and how amazing you all are.
Although frustrating, I choose to view this ongoing disinformation campaign against the Arizona audit as a good thing. It is evidence to me that they are actively trying to confuse the facts, so that people will not know what is true and what is false when the real facts are released. More proof they are afraid of the real facts. Here are some of the mis-truths released so far:

- 200,000 missing ballots.
Since we do not know the results yet, we don't know the number. It could be 2, it could be 200,000, it could be more. To say a definitive number is pure speculation. None of us know until the report comes out.

- The preliminary audit results would be released last Monday by Karen Fann.
She never said that, and to get your hopes up was an effort to frustate the patriots, no doubt.

- Chuck Fitzgerald, Sergeant at Arms, is deep state and purposefully not acting to get the passwords, routers, etc.
Chuck is Sergeant at Arms in the AZ House, not the Senate. He is a good man, and has zero legal ability to do anything because the audit is being done by the Senate, not the House. This attack on him is just ridiculous.

- Kelly Townsend is preventing the audit results from coming out (or has any influence on the audit).
I am not on the leadership team nor on the Judiciary committee. I do not have insider's access to the results, and I have been calling for this audit since November 5th.

As I said yesterday, I know you had your hopes up because someone put out that preliminary results were being released on Monday, which was false. I am asking for patience, as the auditors need to now compile all the info and reports.

IMPORTANT: If the Maricopa County Supervisors cooperate and give us all that we need to finish the audit, we should have results in August. If not, it will be longer.

Therefore, if you hear anything different, it is part of the disinformation campaign. I get the frustration, and am sorry you were mislead. Let's stick together on this and when the results come out, go from there.
Ok, we are back on track with the Governor's office. His chief of staff has cleared everything up and I appreciate their honesty. Let's move forward. Next step, get the Biden administration to tell us whether or not they are going to reimburse Arizona the $450 million for the National Guard if we end our emergency now. If the answer is yes then I believe the Governor feels comfortable ending the full emergency. God help us if this Delta variant narrative takes hold. Hopefully not and let's keep pushing to end the emergency ASAP.
Today, the ban on Hydroxychloroquine has been lifted.
