I have been watching #CanadaConvoy since it started and I did not see one swastika, confederate flag or any other racist symbol. If there is one, it is likely a democrat doing what they always do, trying to make conservatives look bad. Shame on Trudeau for making this about race.

On Wednesday, after a very long Health and Human Services committee where we listened to testimony from folks about their loved ones who had died in hospitals from Covid and about the mistreatment they received, it was brought to my attention that a group of medical professionals in the audience were persistently mocking the speakers, as well as members of the committee. One high-ranking Hospital official was apparently glaring at me as I gave comfort to a man who had just testified about the death of his father and was looking faint from grief.

I have been pondering this since it happened. I have been trying to understand why persons, whose job it is to heal, would act in a way reminiscent of sixth grade. Why healers would be so harmful. Why healers would be so hurtful. I must admit that it only serves to underscore and strengthen the argument of families who tell harrowing stories of the treatment they are receiving at the hands of so-called medical professionals. Medical professionals who apparently have lost their way.

I will say this. It is my job as a legislator to protect my constituents. Those of you who are medical professionals and have crossed the line, who have lost your way, who at this point should resign - I will make policy alongside my colleagues to strengthen our statutes to ensure that you are held fully accountable if you harm one hair on their head out of malice or greed. End of story.

SB1164 passed the Senate today. Senator @NancyBarto did a great job arguing the pro-life position of the bill. I am proud to be a yes vote on this bill.

Yesterday, my bill SB1016, passed out of commerce committee along partisan lines. It adds to the language I put in last year on religious exemptions a penalty for those who knowingly violate someone’s religious rights and deny the exemption.

I am pleased to partner with parents by taking on the heart of the problem and sponsoring SB1011. This is a small step toward recovering schools for our kids. Now, the bill needs to keep moving. Contact your Legislators and tell them to vote yes on SB1011!

Why does the Gates foundation continue to come up in these issues regarding viruses?

I have spent countless hours helping the people of this state navigate the coronavirus situation, whether that be staying alive or staying employed. To tell you the truth, I don’t know the political affiliation of any of them. This is a humanitarian issue and one that we should have never had to fight. I want to know who is responsible for this and I want them held accountable.
