#Meningitis is an epidemic-prone disease requiring immediate reporting in Nigeria.

ALL healthcare workers are urged to have a high index of suspicion if they notice these signs & symptoms in their patients:
➡️Fever/severe headache
➡️Vomiting
➡️Drowsiness
➡️Rash
➡️Seizures
➡️Muscle/joint pain
➡️Stiff neck
#AntimicrobialResistance is when medicines like #antimalarials, tetracycline, septrin, and amoxicillin no longer treat diseases they cured previously.

Everyone everywhere, including users and non-users of #antimicrobials has a role to play to prevent #AMR.

The overall goal of Infection Prevention & Control is to maintain an environment of care that minimises risks of infection for patients, staff & visitors.

These #IPC guidelines must be practised by all #HCWs in public and private primary, secondary & tertiary healthcare facilities.
