Think your FD is completely safe? Think again.

Scammers are now targeting bank accounts and even breaking FDs online, transferring money within days.

One simple protection: link your FD to an overdraft (OD).
When marked as lien with a small OD limit, the FD can’t be easily broken online. Large withdrawals require branch verification.

So even if someone accesses your account, they can’t liquidate your FD beyond that limit.

Bonus: You can also use this OD smartly for things like IPO applications without breaking your FD.

Small step, strong protection.

Share this with someone who has FDs.

One voice is brave. Many voices create change.

When one person speaks up, it’s powerful but it also shows how many stayed silent.

People often ignore injustice to avoid involvement. But real change happens when silence turns into collective support.

One voice can be dismissed.
A group cannot be ignored.

The choice is simple: stay silent or stand up for what’s right.

Party switching isn’t new but when does it become a problem?

In the 1960s, frequent defections caused governments to collapse. To control this, the anti-defection law (1985) was introduced—MLAs/MPs can lose their seat if they switch parties.

But there’s a catch:
If 2/3 members shift together, it’s considered valid, not defection.

So something that feels unethical can still be legally allowed.

This raises a bigger issue people vote for a party’s ideology, not just individuals. When that changes after elections, trust and accountability come into question.

What should matter more legality or loyalty to voters?

Travel abroad… but only after paperwork?

A new rule under the Income Tax Act 2025 may require certain people to submit Form 157 before international travel especially those without PAN, not required to have one, or with non-taxable income.

On paper it sounds simple, but in reality it involves offline filing, visiting the officer, and repeating it for every trip. Even family members in the same household may need to comply separately.

Miss it, and you could face airport issues or notices later.

The intent may be tracking finances, but the process raises concerns around practicality and inconvenience.

Necessary control or unnecessary friction? Share your view.

You’ve been misled about this.

Social media claims creators are now officially recognised under a new law. Sounds big but there’s no credible proof.

If a bill is actually passed, it shows up in official records, trusted media, and verified documents. If it’s only on reels and forwards, that’s a red flag.

This is how misinformation spreads viral posts start looking like facts.

Simple rule:
• Check original sources
• Verify where info comes from
• Don’t trust forwards blindly

The internet rewards speed, not accuracy.
Next time something “big” trends question it first.

Share this with someone who forwards without checking.

Bet you didn’t know this

Words like bandage, xerox, fevicol or geyser are not actual product names. They started as brand names that became common terms.

This is called a generic trademark. When a brand becomes so popular, people use it for the entire category, risking its identity.

Globally, it has already happened with aspirin and escalator.

Even in India, many names we use daily could face the same.

Next time you say a brand name, you might not be naming the product correctly.

Drop the real product names in comments and share this.

What if everything you’ve built gets lost?

Most people don’t have a system to organise financial details like bank accounts, insurance, stocks, FDs and property. When something unexpected happens, families struggle to even find what already belongs to them.

That’s why thousands of crores remain unclaimed in India.

A simple organised setup where all details are accessible can bring clarity and peace of mind.

Tools like Emergent make this easy. You just explain your needs, and it helps create a structured, shareable system without technical skills.

Don’t leave it scattered. Organise it.
Hey! 👋
Here’s the link to get started and build your own app:

Just describe your requirements in simple language, answer a few questions, and your app will be ready in minutes 🚀

The protest that changed Indian democracy

In 1996, workers in Beawar, Rajasthan discovered they were paid ₹11 while records showed ₹22. When they demanded access, they uncovered fake entries and misuse of public funds.

Officials denied access, but workers held a 40-day protest at Chang Gate with one demand: *“Hamare paise ka hisaab do.”*

This movement pushed Rajasthan’s RTI law (2000) and later the national RTI Act (2005).

On Labour Day, a reminder: workers don’t just build cities, they build accountability and democracy.

Public money needs public accountability.

That loud emergency alert on your phone wasn’t a scam 🚨

India is currently testing its new disaster alert system called SACHET, developed by DoT & NDMA. These alerts are sent through mobile towers to instantly warn people during emergencies like floods, earthquakes, lightning, gas leaks, etc.

How it works:
• Authorities identify a time-sensitive emergency
• A geo-targeted alert is created for the affected area
• The message is broadcast through nearby mobile towers
• Everyone present in that geographic zone receives the alert instantly
• Even visitors and non-local users in the area get notified

These are test alerts only, so no action is needed. You may receive them in English, Hindi, or regional languages.

The goal: faster emergency communication during real disasters.

Did you get the alert too?

Who’s at the top of the Indian Army?

The structure is easier to understand when broken into levels.

At the base are soldiers from Sepoy to Havaldar, forming the frontline strength.
Then come Junior Commissioned Officers like Naib Subedar, Subedar and Subedar Major, who act as a bridge between troops and senior command.

Above them are Commissioned Officers. The journey starts from Lieutenant, then Captain, Major, Lieutenant Colonel and Colonel.

After this comes the top leadership with Brigadier, Major General, Lieutenant General and finally General, which is the highest active rank.

Beyond this is a rare honorary title called Field Marshal, a five star rank given only twice in India’s history, making it one of the highest honours in the armed forces.

Do you know the two legends who received it? Drop their names.

Comment “Train” and I’ll share the link.

Indian Railways is moving users from the old UTS app to a single all in one platform. No more multiple apps for tickets, tracking, and complaints.

What you can do in one place:
• Book reserved tickets
• Book unreserved and platform tickets
• Check PNR status
• Track trains live
• Raise complaints via Rail Madad
• Order food during the journey

Extra benefit: Around 3 percent cashback on unreserved tickets via digital payments, valid till July 2026.

Simple idea. One app, everything in one place.

Share this with frequent train travellers.

Fix bullying… but ended up getting trolled instead.

Rajasthan launched a campaign to reduce bullying by encouraging schools and parents to change names that could become reasons for teasing. A list of “better” names was even shared.

The idea sounded thoughtful, but some suggested names triggered massive backlash online. Social media mocked the campaign, criticism grew rapidly, and the initiative was eventually rolled back.

Intent may have been right, but execution matters just as much.

What do you think, smart move or overreach?

That “420” you’ve been hearing all your life… is no longer 420.

India officially replaced the 164 year old IPC with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and with that, many of the sections people knew by heart have changed completely.

Why were these changes made?
The IPC was created by the British in 1860. Over time, many modern crimes like cybercrime, digital evidence, organised crime, and mob lynching either had weak coverage or no clear provisions at all.

Some of the most commonly known sections have now changed
• IPC 302 for murder is now BNS 103(1)
• IPC 420 for cheating is now BNS 318(4)
• IPC 379 for theft is now BNS 303(2)
• IPC 498A related to cruelty by husband or in laws is now BNS 85.

Save this post because remembering these new section numbers is not going to be easy.

And here’s a question for you
IPC Section 506 for Criminal Intimidation is now which section under BNS? Comment below if you know the answer and stay Jagruk.

Some FIRs are for justice. Some are just noise.

A debate started on whether a 15-year-old like Vaibhav Suryavanshi should play professional cricket under labour laws. But the law is more nuanced.

Child labour laws restrict hazardous work, but allow minors in fields like sports and entertainment under supervision. Also, contracts with minors usually work through guardians.

The irony? Serious labour violations often go unchecked, so targeting a teenage cricketer is unlikely to be a real priority.

The internet reacts selectively. Real issues get ignored, while high-profile topics become debates.

What do you think?

Shocking electricity bills? Here’s what’s really happening.

The Supreme Court has asked states to clear “regulatory assets” unpaid electricity dues that DISCOMs couldn’t recover.

In Rajasthan alone, this is around ₹47,000 crore, and nearly ₹3 lakh crore across India.

Instead of recovering it from defaulters, this gap is being added to your bill through extra charges and higher per unit costs.

So while some don’t pay, regular consumers end up covering the loss.

Fair or unfair? Share your thoughts.

[1/3] Is PM Modi’s Appeal Justified?
Petrol, gold, foreign trips are being framed as “responsible vs irresponsible.” Sounds fair, but the numbers tell another story.

When global crude prices crashed, India bought cheap oil, yet petrol prices stayed high due to increased taxes. Over time, huge revenues were collected, even beyond past reasons like oil bonds.

The real question is where did that money go?
Import dependence is still high, and long-term energy security hasn’t improved significantly.

At the same time, citizens are told to consume less in the name of duty.

Responsibility should be two-sided. If citizens are expected to adjust, policies should reflect long-term accountability too.

Think about it.

Is PM Modi’s appeal justified?

Spending on petrol, gold, or foreign trips is now being linked to “national duty.” The logic is simple, more spending abroad means pressure on the rupee.

But the bigger question is, why is the system still so dependent?

India remains a net importer, especially for crude oil. Strong exports and manufacturing could have reduced this, but many opportunities went elsewhere.

Gold tells a similar story. Schemes like Sovereign Gold Bonds aimed to reduce imports, but policy changes later raise trust concerns.

Managing currency and reducing dependency is a policy responsibility. When focus shifts to controlling personal spending, it feels like the burden is passed to citizens.

So where should responsibility actually lie?

So now even buying gold needs justification?

When currencies weaken, people turn to gold. It has always been a hedge against inflation and falling money value. This is predictable.

The real question is about responsibility. Currency stability and reducing import dependence are policy matters, yet the focus shifts to controlling individual spending.

An average citizen already contributes heavily through taxes like income tax, GST and fuel taxes.

If restraint is expected, it should reflect from the top as well. That is how trust builds.

Also, global investing rules are getting stricter. Limits under LRS and TCS may tighten further.

If you plan to invest internationally, understand it properly.

“It’s just one paper leak… right?”

Years of effort can collapse in minutes.

For students, exams like JEE are more than tests. They are trust in a system where hard work should matter.

But when unfair means win, the damage goes beyond lost seats. It breaks belief.

When effort feels secondary to shortcuts, the system starts teaching the wrong lesson.

Corruption grows when honesty feels pointless.
And the real danger begins when such incidents stop shocking people.

Think about the system this creates tomorrow. Share this.
