The theme, as usual, is sticking to traditional values. As for the draft, they oppose street protests and say that only legislation will solve it.
Agudah: A mix of chassidishe kehillos, most prominently Ger, Belz and Vizhnitz, it has been the most militant in blaming Prime Minister Netanyahu personally for the draft crisis. The Gerrer rebbe has been trying to leave the coalition for more than a year, finally ordering his representative in Agudah, party leader Yitzchak Goldknopf, to do so after Shavuos. Of all the frum parties, Agudahโs voters are the most upset at how they handled it. Many of them are expected to stay home, vote for Hatzibur Hachareidi or for Likud or Smotrich. As for the draft, they have increasingly begun sanctioning street protests, something that was nearly unheard of before a year ago.
Degel: Degel has in recent years emerged as the bigger party within the United Torah Judaism party, eclipsing Agudah several years ago.
Theyโve been threatening for several election cycles to run independently but always ultimately ran alongside Agudah out of fear that Agudah wonโt cross the electoral threshold. This time they are openly suggesting that want to run independently unless Agudah cedes to them the right to have their leader, Moshe Gafni, replace Goldknopf as party chairman and give them the first four spots on the list. As for the draft, they oppose street protests but donโt trust Netanyahu that he will get a law through to solve the issue.
Aside from these, there is the Peleg Yerushalmi which opposes all negotiations and has been leading the street protests that have periodically closed down main highways. Their people do not vote as a matter of principle. The Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas facility in northern Gaza yesterday that the IDF says was being used to store weapons and prepare attacks against Israeli troops.
According to the military, the building in Jabalia served as a Hamas โambush position,โ where operatives had recently been working to rebuild the terror groupโs capabilities and plan attacks. Several Hamas operatives were killed in the strike, the IDF says.
The site was located around 50 meters from the IDFโs โYellow Lineโ and was considered a threat to troops operating nearby. The military also said the Hamas position was situated just 70 meters from Kamal Adwan Hospital and roughly 170 meters from a school.

Israel Goes After PA โPay-for-Slayโ Money, Seizing Cash, Gold and Cars From Freed Terrorists
Israeli security forces raided homes in East Jerusalem belonging to terrorists and their families who were freed in hostage deals but continued receiving Palestinian Authority payments for their terrorist activity. Authorities seized five vehicles, roughly NIS 96,000 in cash, gold jewelry and other assets worth hundreds of thousands of shekels.
Among those targeted was Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Abad, who was involved in an attempted suicide bombing in Jerusalem. Forces also raided the home of Hamas terrorist Ahed Fayez Ali al-Natsheh, who helped plan a car bombing in Pisgat Zeโev and an attack at Jerusalemโs Clal Center that wounded two police officers and 10 civilians.
The seizures were carried out under orders signed by Defense Minister Israel Katz as part of Israelโs campaign against terror financing. The PA claims it replaced its longstanding prisoner-payment system with a needs-based welfare program, but Israeli authorities say released terrorists have continued receiving payments tied to their attacks.
