Position: English Teacher
Duty Location: W.Aleppo
Line Manager: Area manager- field / HR Manager- Technical
Closing Date: 17th June 2021
Starting Date: June 2021
Duration: 3 Months-Hourly contract
PIN is looking for an experienced English teacher to join the team. She/He will organize English courses for non-native speakers adults with diverse activities and methods that cover all aspects of the English language (speaking, writing, and comprehending).
General Objective:
The aim is to help PIN team members to improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.
He/She will provide English courses for PIN staff in groups determined by a placement test.
He/She will provide a frequent report about the staff progress status as well as sharing the attendance and grades sheets with HR department on a regular basis.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
• • To conduct a placement test to detect the staff level in English and divide the groups base on tests results as beginners and intermediate groups.
• • Conduct English courses that cover all aspects of the English language (speaking, writing, and comprehending).
• • Courses to be conducted physically and take a place on weekdays.
• • Planning, preparing course materials, and delivering lessons.
• • A pre/post tests to be conducted and shared with PIN HR department.
• • Assign homework (if needed) and exams.
• • Grade team member’s assessments.
• • Research new teaching methods for teaching English as a second language.
• • Create a supportive and positive classroom environment.
• • Maintain records of student attendance and grades and share them with HR department on a weekly basis.
Requirements:
• • Degree in English Language, English Literature or similar field (ESL, TEFL or TESOL certification).
• • Previous experience as an ESL/TEFL teacher or similar role.
• • Knowledge of various methods of teaching English to non-native speakers.
• • Great organizational and communication skills.
• • Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
• • Clear diction.
• • Calm, patience, and resilient personality.
• • Lateral thinking.
• • Experience in NGO sector work.
• • Good IT skills - Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• • Ability to organize and plan effectively, work independently.
