I had never read the post itself until this morning. Mostly because I just didn’t care. But after MTG’s post on Gaza last night I saw a bunch of Leftists continuing to say hateful things like she’s “a real antisemite who shouldn’t be trusted.”

That annoyed me so I wanted to see *exactly* what she had said that could inspire this much hate, 7 years later.

Y’all… I hate these pricks so much it hurts sometimes. That post didn’t say one damn thing about “Jews” or “Jewish” or “Israel” or anything else like that.

Democrats stripped this woman of her committee assignments. Republicans made her go to Brooklyn for struggle sessions with Lovers of Zion. Both sides mocked and smeared her as stupid and rabidly antisemitic…

And it was all because she *accurately* noted that the Vice Chairman of PG&E also sat on the board of Rothschild Inc. In a Facebook post. Two full years BEFORE she ran for Congress.

TBC she was wrong, that’s not what caused the fires. But who cares? Why the hell did this slightly rambling, but totally harmless, Facebook post inspire congressional hearings, hundreds of news articles and 2 freaking books?! (yes, there are literally books)

Knowing what I know now and looking back, that kind of *EXTREME* overreaction to what should have been at worst an eye roll- that’s very, very weird.
