Israel is selling itself.

While the headlines stay locked on Iran, Lebanon, Gaza,

Israel's Government Companies Authority has quietly been running the most concentrated state-asset sale Israel has seen in over a decade.

The international press is omitting this.

📌 Israel Post was sold in Nov 2024 to a private consortium led by Milgam. First time in the country's history the post is in private hands.

📌Haifa Port has sold 70% to India's Adani Ports. The Chinese state operator runs the new Bay terminal. The Swiss-owned MSC affiliate runs Ashdod South. Two of three Israeli commercial ports now sit under foreign operators.

📌Israel Electric Corp's four of six power plants sold to private operators. Eshkol alone went for $3.3 billion. Retail electricity competition opened in 2024. The grid operator was carved off into its own company. IEC now generates less than half of national electricity.

That's a country quietly dismantling the state capitalism it ran for fifty years.

Just this quarter, Israel Aerospace Industries and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems,

are both getting listed on Tel Aviv stock exchange.

Initial 25–30% tranches.

That's an entire defense-industrial complex moving from sealed government books onto the public market, into the strongest defense bid this generation has seen.

This is what fiscal monetization looks like at the asset level. Israel needs the cash and its privatizing.

This is the Israel ETF today. 4 of the top 10 holdings are privatized state banks. Phoenix (3.1%) is one of the buyers of Israel Post. Defense is 6.1% with one name, Elbit.

IAI and Rafael are not on this chart yet. They will be by the end of Q2.

The Oil Tanker hit this morning was UAE State-owned.

Reminder: the vessel switched AIS transponders off before crossing the strait of Hormuz.

Yesterday: ⭕️ UKMTO reports that an Oil Tanker was hit by unknown projectiles in the strait of Hormuz.

Nothing visible on AIS, which means the tanker tried to cross the strait 'illegaly', without authorization from the iRGC.

UAE’s Fujairah Government reports a large fire at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone caused by a drone strike “originating from Iran.” Civil Defense is responding.

Iranian authorities and state-affiliated news outlets have previously said that:

▪️UAE Air Force Mirage 2000 fighter jets were responsible for attacking a refinery on Lavan Island shortly after a ceasefire was brokered in early April 2026.

▪️The UAE played an "active role" in a broader US-Israeli military campaign since its inception.

▪️UAE has been allowing its territory to serve as a launch point for US strikes throughout the war, particularly referencing a mid-March attack on Kharg Island.

⭕️ A cargo vessel has reported an engine room fire 36 nautical miles north of Dubai on Monday, according to a UKMTO advisory. The cause is unknown and authorities are investigating. All crew are safe and accounted for.

🚨 UAE confirms its air defense systems are actively intercepting missiles and drones, with explosions heard across parts of the country linked to ongoing engagements. 4 cruise missiles, it says, have been successfully downed.

The Ministry of Defense said the threats are incoming projectiles and UAVs from Iran.
