The false rift between 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia and the 🇦🇪 UAE, like I said months ago, is not a rift.

🗣 It is a division of labor.

One plays warm, one plays cool, and both walk toward the same exit.

The UAE keeps the public temperature low. It preserves the optics of Abraham Accords normalization. It sustains the trade, aviation, and technology corridors.

🗣The UAE is GCC's insurance.

As long as the UAE plays warm, Israel cannot credibly tell its own public that the Gulf has turned, and cannot mobilize Western pressure to reverse what is actually happening.

The UAE's warmth buys the whole Gulf time.

Saudi Arabia makes itself look like the unpredictable variable, the kingdom whose loyalty is now in question.

But nothing Saudi Arabia is doing has actually changed.

It's still running Vision 2030.

It is still taking Chinese capital.

It is still hedging between Washington and Beijing.

🇵🇸 It still demands a Palestinian state.

It was doing all of this before the 'war', and it will keep doing it after.

The two performances with KSA and UAE are not contradictory.

They are complementary.

The UAE preserves the channels the Gulf needs for its economic utility.

Saudi Arabia preserves the leverage the Gulf needs to extract better terms from the US in the new security architecture that is being drafted.

Neither country loses.

⏳ Israel is the only party that loses in both columns,

because the warm channel no longer includes it as a beneficiary and the cold channel is using the threat of its further isolation as the bargaining chip.

🗣 What the Gulf is actually doing is building the post-war Middle East without Israel as a load-bearing member.

Every track is being built with full Gulf participation and zero Israeli role.

‼️ The version one of Abraham Accords that was supposed to embed Israel inside Gulf capital flows is being quietly hollowed out by version two.

If you've followed me long enough, you would of remembered me saying, "the UAE will hold hands with Israel as it walks it towards its grave". ‼️

The death blow can't come from an enemy.

That is a language Israel knows how to fight.

It is coming from a Gulf friend, that has decided, independently and rationally, that its own future is more valuable than the bilateral relationship it built on paper five years ago.

No one needs to agree to isolate Israel. They just each need to keep doing what serves them, and the isolation arrives on its own.

Ceasefire talks between the United States and Iran are under way in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad – the first direct in-person talks between Washington and Tehran since the 1979 Islamic revolution.

US Vice President JD Vance leads the US delegation.

He met Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif ahead of ceasefire negotiations. Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, also met Sharif.

In that Telegram Chaim Weizmann (the first president of Israel) tells Churchill to keep explicitly supporting the jewish cause and the Jews will use their media power to get America to fight on their side. “We did it during WW1, and we can do it again.”

It should be pointed out that a Jew “Bernard Baruch” was heavily involved in the “War Industries Board” which helped determine which companies would make what for the war…

US Agrees to Release Iran's Assets, But Iranians Demand Assurances

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An informed source told Tasnim that while the American side has agreed to release Iran's frozen assets, the Iranian delegation is actively seeking guarantees to ensure the reliability of such commitment.

Speaking to Tasnim’s correspondent in Islamabad on Saturday, the informed Iranian source said that, as a result of pressure and negotiations, the American side has agreed to release Iran's frozen assets and has announced that it has brought a team to Islamabad for consultations in financial areas so that both sides can reach a consensus on this matter.

However, given the history of broken promises and previous failures of the US to transfer Iran's frozen assets, the Iranian side is seeking ways to ensure the seriousness of the US in this regard, the source added.

Following the assassination of late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders on February 28, the US and Israel launched an extensive military offensive against Iran.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out attacks on American and Israeli positions in the region and the occupied territories, showcasing their capability to retaliate effectively.

Contrary to the aggressors' expectations of a quick victory, Iran's powerful counterattacks for 40 days inflicted significant damage on US and Israeli military assets.

In an effort to de-escalate the situation, Pakistani mediation led to a two-week ceasefire agreement on April 8 that allows for negotiations in Islamabad.

Iran has laid out a ten-point plan for the talks, which includes demands for the withdrawal of US forces, the lifting of sanctions, and control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The US team of negotiators has made excessive demands as the negotiating teams in Islamabad entered the text exchange stage, according to Tasnim’s correspondent in Islamabad.

“While after in-person expert talks between the Iranian and American delegations in Islamabad, the two sides had advanced to the text exchange stage to reach a common framework for negotiations, the American delegation has hindered the progress of the process by its recurring excessive demands,” Tasnim correspondent in Islamabad reported.

The consultations are still ongoing, but Iran insists on preserving its military achievements and emphasizes that the rights of the Iranian nation must be ensured.

The issue of the Strait of Hormuz is one of the issues that faces serious disagreement.

Earlier, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team had said that the next round of talks between Iran and the US will likely be held tonight or tomorrow .

Tasnim’s correspondent in Islamabad said on Saturday night that one phase of the face-to-face negotiations has ended, noting that the two delegations were exchanging texts.

Two US Navy Arleigh Burke–class destroyers attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz but were forced to turn back after Iran’s Revolutionary Guard threatened them and launched a drone toward the ships.

Two Navy guided-missile destroyers entered the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, the first American warships to transit the strait since the U.S.-Israel offensive in Iran began on Feb. 28.

USS Frank E. Peterson (DDG-121) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG-112) are now in the Persian Gulf after transiting the strait as part of the U.S. plan to “ensure the strait is fully clear of sea mines,” according to a Saturday U.S. Central Command news release.

Frank E. Peterson is part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, while Michael Murphy is an independently-deployed destroyer, according to USNI News’ Fleet and Marine Tracker.

Additional U.S. forces, to include underwater drones, will join the destroyers, according to the release.

The two ships are in the gulf to begin “setting conditions for clearing mines,” reads the release.

“Today, we began the process of establishing a new passage and we will share this safe pathway with the maritime industry soon to encourage the free flow of commerce,” CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper said in the release.

Iran announced on Thursday that there were mines in the strait, the first Tehran confirmation, and laid out two paths that ships can use to avoid them, USNI News previously reported.

One of the paths included the Tehran tollbooth, which required ships to sail by Iran’s Larak Island while also contacting the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps to provide documentation and, in some cases, payment.
