We’ve already lost:
- ~30% of fertilizers
- ~20% of LNG
- ~14% of oil
- ~30% of helium
Any one of these on its own would be enough to trigger a crisis. Together, they form a systemic shock that risks pulling the global economy into a serious recession.
Because these aren’t isolated commodities.... they sit at the core of entire production chains:
Petrochemicals -> fertilizer -> food production
Petrochemicals -> mining (copper, uranium, nickel)
Petrochemicals -> plastics -> cars, electronics
Petrochemicals -> drugs, rubber, textiles
Helium -> semiconductors / AI chips
Gas -> power generation
Diesel -> transportation
So this isn’t just an energy problem... it’s a full-spectrum supply shock hitting food, industry, tech, transportation and power at the same time. Without flows from Hormuz, the system doesn’t just slow down, it starts to break.
And there is no policy tool that can replace missing physical supply.

[THIS] post below has played out perfectly.
If you read this carefully enough,
you will understand how the region is unwinding,
what that means for the players,
and what it really means for Israel.
You will either get it, or you won’t.
Either way,

🇮🇱 ❌️ 🇵🇸 Israel approves record 34 new West Bank settlements
The Israeli cabinet quietly approved the establishment of an unprecedented 34 new settlements in the occupied West Bank in a meeting two weeks ago, according to the Times of Israel and i24 News—the largest single approval of settlements by any cabinet to date.
The decision brings the total number of new settlements established or retroactively legalized by the current government since it took office in 2022 to 103. By comparison, only six new settlements were formally approved by Israel in the three decades following the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993.
The approval was kept under wraps during the war at the request of the United States according to two officials that spoke to Ynet.
All Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank remain illegal under international law.

Max on Judge Nap:
Bogus Iran ceasefire discredits US leadership
Max Blumenthal argues the U.S.-Iran “ceasefire” was a sham, greenlighted by the Trump administration while Israel sabotaged it by massacring civilians in Lebanon and dragging Washington deeper into war.
He says Trump is being played by Netanyahu, the White House is lying about Lebanon, and Iran has actually emerged stronger through Hormuz leverage, diplomatic openings, and strategic endurance.
The punchline: Washington looks weak, Israel calls the shots, and the empire keeps exposing itself.

The Israeli siege of Beirut, 1982.
Hezbollah didn’t exist back then.
In 1983, the Lebanese government signed a “peace deal” with Israel under US pressure, recognizing Israel and delegitimizing resistance against it.
A popular uprising shattered that deal months later. Same thing is happening now, talks of a “peace deal” while Beirut burns:
Before the Israeli attack on Beirut, the Lebanese authority said “Lebanon negotiates for itself,” giving Netanyahu “legal” backing that Lebanon was not included in the ceasefire and a green light to strike Beirut.
Not that Israel needed a green light, but for the international community, it certainly helped him.
After the Israeli attack, the Lebanese authority legitimized Israel’s massacres by “demilitarizing Beirut,” falsely implying Israel was targeting Hezbollah infrastructure and weapon depots.
Almost everyone killed were civilians, many of them women and children.
Now the same Lebanese authority, led by cowardly traitors, announce they will begin direct negotiations with Israel to officially separate Lebanon from the Iran-US ceasefire and surrender the country to Israel.
A reminder that in 1983, after the Israeli invasion of Lebanon and the siege of Beirut, the Lebanese government signed a “peace deal” with Israel under US pressure, recognizing Israel and delegitimizing resistance against it.
A popular uprising shattered that deal months later. Back then, Hezbollah wasn’t even leading that uprising.
This is a red line not to be crossed.
There will never be a deal with Israel under their bombs and with their tanks burning our land. Learn from history
“The PLO did”. There’s always an excuse. After the PLO evacuated and surrendered, Israel and its allies began butchering thousands of civilians in refugee camps and that marked the beginning of an 18 years long Israeli occupation of Lebanon. But yeah, PLO

🇺🇸🇮🇷 C-130 stuck in mud?! Most likely not.
Looks like the C-130 planes got too close together, so they could not take off again by themselves. They also blocked the runway in the middle. Hence the US Air Force called in a C295W that can land and take off on a short runway.
This makes sense if you look at this video analysis.
For takeoff:
C295W ~2200 ft
C-130J ~3100 ft
Interesting is the minimum landing:
C295W ~1050 ft
C-130J ~3000 ft
(Empty, on paved runway and at sea level)
PS: Looks like @MMaximalux and I nearly got to that conclusion in our chat already.

🇮🇷💔 Dr. Kharrazi was severely wounded following the airstrike on his residence last week.
If the official embassy is now confirming his assassination, then any remaining illusion of "de-escalation" or upcoming "peace negotiations" is completely dead.
You cannot assassinate top foreign policy officials and expect the other side to sit at a diplomatic table. The region is officially in freefall.

Some Things Never Change
“One finds it almost impossible to believe that a civilised people could perform such acts of fiendish barbarism upon women and children and patients in hospitals… The Israelis pinpointed and hit no less than thirteen out of the seventeen hospitals in Beirut, one of them a mental hospital and many of the others full of children.”
Roald Dahl wrote those words in 1983, describing what he had witnessed in Beirut under Israeli bombardment.
And here we are again.
Israel has once more launched massive strikes on Lebanon, despite the so-called ceasefire, with civilians once again bearing the weight of it. Homes reduced to rubble, families torn apart, entire neighbourhoods erased in a matter of hours.
Different decade, different headlines, same pattern.
Dahl wrote about the shift in perception, about how witnessing such destruction changes the way people see those responsible, how sympathy can turn into something else entirely when faced with repeated devastation. He understood, even then, that these cycles do not end, they evolve, they harden, they repeat.
And that is perhaps the most unsettling realisation of all. Not just that it is happening, but that it has been happening, over and over again, across generations, as if nothing has truly been learned, as if no lesson has ever been enough to break the cycle.
We like to believe the world moves forward, that humanity evolves, that history teaches us something. But sometimes it feels as though we are simply watching the same story unfold, with different dates attached to it.
And the longer it goes on, the harder it becomes to believe that it will ever be any different.
