Many “Judeo-Christians” don’t understand the jealousy toward Christians that Jews felt during the centuries after Jesus’ ascension, during which the Talmud was written and their religion took shape.

In only a very short time after Christ’s ascension, Christians were considered the world’s experts on the Torah and Prophets.

If the Romans or anyone else wanted to understand the Old Testament, they didn’t ask a Jew.

That was laughable. What did they know?

Their nation collapsed, their rituals were gone, the priesthood stripped, their temple torn down, and they were aimless.

Christians were universally considered the stewards and divine caretakers of Moses’ Law and interpreters of the prophets.

No one cared what Jews thought about anything.

With their temple’s destruction, their religion couldn’t even be observed. Obviously, their opinions of the Torah didn’t matter.

For 500+ years the Jews stewed in this jealousy, that filthy goyim and their magician “messiah” were the inheritors of their religion.

And so for half a millennia, they frantically scribbled away, jotting down their novel ethical theories often at great odds with the Torah itself, whatever double-standard morality suited them and put the filthy gentiles in their place. Taking potshots at Christ, and even His mother, picturing Him in feces and in hell.

Their anger toward gentiles and Christians leaps out on every page.

What they produced in the Talmud was designed to be as oppositional to the new Christian faith as possible. In doing so, the Talmud also became quite contradictory to the Torah in places as well. Anything to be contradictory to Christianity sufficed.

But their biggest challenge was recreating all their rites, now impossible without the temple.

Passover had to be changed from temple sacrifice to a bloodless meal at home, with silly new rituals supposedly rich in meaning, but utterly contrived, made up, counterfeit.

The Feast of Dedication was totally dour, depressing, for now, there’s no temple at all.

About a half-millennia later they made up a story about “miraculous oil” that had never been mentioned at any point in the 500 years prior, just to give meaning to the most depressing, pointless holiday ever.

New liturgies and rituals and rules had to be crafted to make a religion out of thin air, that God destroyed with the temple.

Today, Talmudians have convinced some Christians they have special insights into the Old Testament.

Some, even believe it belongs to them! Or that they’re experts in interpretation or its meanings. And that’s as laughable now as it was the 2nd or 4th centuries.

Christians have always been the true stewards of the Oracles, the keepers of Sacred Writ, those whom God entrusted to keep and preserve His Word.

Don’t ever let someone convince you that those who can’t see Christ in the pages of the Old Testament, are fit to see anything in it clearly at all.
