Imām al-Shāfiʿī (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
*Whoever learns the Qur’an, his worth becomes great. Whoever studies fiqh, his rank becomes noble. Whoever writes ḥadīth, his proof becomes strong. Whoever studies the language, his nature becomes refined. Whoever studies calculation, his judgment becomes weighty. And whoever does not safeguard himself (with taqwa), his knowledge will not benefit him.*
[Manāqib al-Shāfiʿī by al-Bayhaqī (1/282), al-Madkhal ilā al-Sunan al-Kubrā (p. 324), and Jāmiʿ Bayān al-ʿIlm wa Faḍlih by Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr (2/1134) with Ṣaḥīḥ Isnād.]

Muslim recorded that Abu Nadrah reported from Abu Sa`id that he said: "Allah's Messenger ﷺ said:
The world is indeed sweet and green; and verily Allah is going to install you generations after generations in it in order to see how you act. So safeguard yourselves against the world and avoid (the trial caused by) women. For the first trial of the Children of Israel was due to women.

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said to his companions, "Is it difficult for any of you to recite one third of the Qur'an in one night?" This suggestion was difficult for them so they said, "Who among us has the power to do so, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" Allah Apostle replied: " Allah (the) One, the Self-Sufficient Master Whom all creatures need.' (Surat Al-Ikhlas 112.1--to the End) is equal to one third of the Qur'an."
Sahih al-Bukhari 5015

*“Qualities of the Best Mentor”*
“My teacher and mentor, Dr. Sulaiman bin Harban Al-Maliki; more than twenty years ago, I once visited his home at an inconvenient time. Since my matter was not urgent, I repeatedly apologized. To this, he said: ‘Forget about that! A person who does not keep three things open cannot be worthy of being a mentor: his heart, his pocket, and his home.’
To this day, it has never happened that he has closed his door to any student.”
(Badr bin Mar’i Āl-Mar’i | Tali’at al-Istihda’ bil-Qur’an, p. 6)

if we picked up Qur’an every time we picked up our phones. How many times would we open Qur’an each day? Can you imagine?
The way we jump from app to app, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, X, imagine if instead we moved from sūrah to sūrah, āyah to āyah. How strong would our ḥifẓ be?
*& How much would we have memorized by now?*
After all the time wasted on those apps for no reason, we then say, “I don’t have time.” Wallāhu al-Mustaʿān.
I think Maybe the issue isn’t time.
Maybe it’s what we choose to reach for first.

If Allah controls every cell in your
body, how can He not know what's bothering you? He knows everything You are facing. He knows all the things You are dealing with.He certainly knows what you're going Through. He knows every tear That drops from eyes because of suffering. He certainly knows How you manage to smile even in the face of worst situation.
He certainly knows what is bothering you.But the thing you should know is that He Is the only one who has the capability to remove all your problems in a blink of eye. Trust Him.If He has brought you to this,Only He will get you out of this.

Sheikh al-Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:
أيام عشر ذي الحجة أفضل من أيام العشر من رمضان، وليالي العشر الأواخر من رمضان أفضل من ليالي عشر ذي الحجة.
The (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are more virtuous than the (last) ten days of (the blessed month of) Ramaḍān, and the last ten nights of Ramadan are more virtuous than the (first) ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah.
Imām Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) commented and said:
إذا تأمل الفاضل اللبيب هـذا الجواب، وجده شافياً كافياً.
If the virtuous and intelligent one was to reflect upon this answer, he would find it satisfactory and sufficient.

If you pay attention to the patterns of your life, you’ll realise that Allah was always guiding you.
Every closed door redirected you.
Every delay built your strength.
Every heartbreak purified your heart for something greater.
Nothing was random — it was all written with divine precision.
You always made it through, not by coincidence, but by Qadr.
That’s life under His mercy.
That’s what Tawakkul truly means — trusting that Allah’s plan unfolds with perfect wisdom,
even when you don’t understand it yet. 🤍

It is recommended to fast these days
______________________
*Muḥammad (Ibn Sīrīn) used to fast all ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. Then, when the Ten (days) had passed and the days of Tashrīq had passed, he would not fast for nine days, (a duration) similar to what he had fasted.*
_[Muṣannaf Ibn Abī Shaybah (9468); Isnād Ṣaḥīḥ]_

A timeless and deeply relatable poem by الإمام الشافعي رحمه الله about the reality of الناس and the impossibility of pleasing everyone.
This beautiful poem reminds us:
* People will criticize no matter what you do
* Seeking everyone’s approval only leads to exhaustion
* True peace comes from sincerity and seeking Allah’s pleasure alone
