TOOLS FOR SUCCESS
PRACTICAL AND SPIRITUAL TIPS FOR EXAM STUDYING

As part of our weekly #schools outreach, we conducted programs to motivate learners and equip them with #study skills.

Mufti Yusuf Moosagie presented the program at these high schools 16-19 Oct 2023:

St Thomas, Chapman, Westville, Woolhope, Bethelsdorp and Sanctor.

The over 230 learners in grades 10-12 who benefitted from the programs were given a burger, chips and coldrink.

We wish them and all who are writing well over the #exams.

SCHOOLS PROGRAM
Update | New Academic Year 2024

Al Hidayah Centre’s formal program at government high schools in Port Elizabeth aimed at strengthening the faith of Muslim learners is in full swing for 2024.

We have presented programs for Muslim learners at 8 high schools, as well as addressing the full assemblies on topics of faith.

Schools have asked for the assemblies to be addressed including learners of all faiths so that the morals and life skills can be imparted to all.

We are also actively assisting learners with practicing their faith by facilitating leave for Juma, as well as keeping beards, and wearing scarves. We are working with the MSA at Nelson Mandela University as well.

We conduct weekly programs currently at:
* 8 high schools reaching over
* 250 learners

Our youth programs, and especially the high school programs, are designed to instil a sense of confidence in learners to practice Islam.

Alhamdulillah, the positive feedback shows that this is a vital field in securing the faith of our future generations. Many are not linked to any Aalim, Maktab or Islamic program and this is one of their only links to Islam.

CAREER GUIDANCE IN TECHNICAL SKILLS

Al Hidayah Centre, as part of its formal program at government high schools in Port Elizabeth, conducted career guidance presentations for Grade 9's at five high schools with the Industries Education and Training Institute (IETI).

The presentations are designed to give learners a glimpse into the world of vocational training and career options. These include apprenticeships, learnerships, courses and qualifications in electrical, welding, plumbing, painting, refrigeration, building and carpentry among others.
