💬 Iran parliament speaker warns US citizens about rising gas prices
Ghalibaf issued a public message on his X account on Sunday, responding to US President Donald Trump’s recent claims about the possibility of blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
The parliament speaker wrote: “Enjoy the current pump figures. With the so-called 'blockade', Soon you’ll be nostalgic for $4–$5 gas.”
He also published the formula: “ΔO_BSOH>0 ⇒ f(f(O))>f(O),” highlighting the potential rise in global oil prices should the strait be obstructed, arguing that such a move would fuel further instability in the energy market and create economic problems for the United States.
Trump, speaking on Sunday in an interview with Fox News, referenced the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz for global energy trade and claimed the US could block the passage if necessary.
He said that such an action would require planning and time, while adding that harsher options against Iran were under consideration if ongoing negotiations failed.
His comments suggested that US decision‑makers were evaluating high‑risk scenarios amid escalating tensions.
In his remarks, Trump warned that any action from Iran would be met with a response, although he also reiterated that reaching an agreement with Iran remained possible, saying a good deal would benefit all parties.
The latest round of negotiations between Tehran and Washington, held in Islamabad with Pakistan mediating, ended without an agreement after nearly 21 hours of intensive discussions.
A source close to the Iranian negotiating team told IRNA that the US delegation requested both the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the transfer of enriched uranium, demands Iran rejected as excessive.
The source added that US Vice President J.D. Vance attempted to portray Iran as responsible for delays, while Tehran maintains that Washington’s demands are the main obstacle to progress.

📡 Nigerian Shia leader: Assassinated Iranian leader’s path will endure despite attempts to weaken country
Zakzaky made the remarks in a message marking the 40th day since Ayatollah Khamenei’s martyrdom as a result of an Israeli airstrike on his office in Tehran on February 28, the first day of the US -Israeli war of aggression on Iran.
Zakzaky stressed that the late leader “was not merely a person who could be eliminated through assassination, but a school of thought that lives on in the hearts of Muslims and free people worldwide,” Al-Ahed News reported early on Monday.
The United States “faced a divine barrier” and failed in its hopes of triggering the collapse of Iran’s Islamic system, the Nigerian cleric said.
He added that the past 40 days demonstrated the true stature of Khamenei, noting that enemies had expected chaos, but instead witnessed increased unity and commitment among Iranians and the wider Muslim community.
Zakzaky also described the appointment of Ayatollah Khamenei’s on, Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, as Iran’s new leader as another major setback for adversaries, emphasizing that the successor would firmly continue the same path.
The Nigerian cleric further warned that key waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb “are not without guardians,” urging the US to acknowledge its failure and respect regional sovereignty to ensure safe maritime passage.

📡 Continued street presence of Iranians strengthens authority of diplomacy: Top parliamentarian
Speaking to reporters upon his return from Pakistan on Sunday night, Ghalibaf thanked the people for their prayers, and presence on the streets, recalling a message of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution that such presence helps defend the rights of the Iranians and make the other side recognize their revolution.
On the talks with the US, he noted that although Iran's good initiatives led to the progress in negotiations, but the Americans need to gain the trust after decades of animosity and two wars on the Islamic Republic in the past year during negotiations.
Calling Saturday's negotiations in Islamabad "very intense, serious, and challenging," he said the Iranian team designed many innovative initiatives to demonstrate their good intentions, but noted that earning the trust is difficult and time-consuming due to the Americans' treachery over the past 77 years.
In response to a question about the composition of Iran's negotiating and technical teams in these talks, Ghalibaf described the "Minab 168" as a national delegation, committed to defending the rights of the Iranian people.
While thanking media, journalists and analysts for neutralizing the enemy's psychological warfare and conveying the true voice of the Iranian people to the world, Ghalibaf also responded to Trump's new rhetoric, saying such threats have no effect on the Iranian nation as the world has seen it with its own eyes.
He further emphasized that if the US wanted to find an exit from the self-created quagmire, the only way is for it to make a decision and gain the trust of the Iranian people to whom the US is indebted.

🔊 Islamabad negotiations end in deadlock due to Washington’s excessive demands
On Saturday, Islamabad transformed into a regional diplomatic hub. The senior Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, arrived late Friday. The Iranian delegation was welcomed by senior Pakistani officials, which showed Islamabad’s determination to reduce regional tensions. Ghalibaf stated that Iran attended with goodwill but lacks trust in the US, demanding a realistic plan that respects Iran’s rights. Meanwhile, the US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, arrived Saturday noon, received by officials striving to facilitate constructive dialogue.
Pakistan’s appreciation for Iran, US participation
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate meetings with the Iranian and American representatives, describing the talks as a crucial moment for regional stability. Meeting the Iranian delegation, Sharif expressed profound gratitude for Tehran’s participation, reaffirming Pakistan’s strict commitment to mediating meaningful outcomes for global peace. Similarly, in discussions with the US vice president, Sharif emphasized Islamabad’s eagerness to facilitate steady progress toward lasting peace. Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar also labeled the negotiations a vital opportunity to overcome the crisis. Despite these efforts, intensive trilateral talks, lasting until 3:12 a.m. on Sunday, failed to produce a unified framework.
Iran’s position: Seriousness conditional on opponent’s behavior
Fundamental disagreements over lifting sanctions, implementing mutual commitments, and US demands regarding the nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz completely blocked any tangible progress. The Iranian delegation adopted a cautious yet demand-driven approach, insisting any agreement must guarantee national rights and fully remove sanctions. Washington’s strict insistence on unacceptable demands pushed the talks into a stalemate.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran’s seriousness heavily depends on the opposing side’s approach. In a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Pezeshkian reiterated that Iran seeks to resolve issues through international law but will actively defend its territorial integrity.
End of negotiations without reaching an agreement
The US vice president claimed Washington entered negotiations with flexibility but could not reach definitive terms, stating Washington requires strict assurances regarding nuclear weapons. European media noted Vance entered with limited leverage. Following the talks, Vance left Islamabad on Sunday morning.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that diplomacy never ends. He noted these were the longest talks in the past year, lasting about 24 hours. Baqaei explained complex issues made a quick resolution impossible, highlighting the talks occurred after 40 days of war and nine months of tension. The Islamabad talks reflected two differing approaches, leading to no agreement. Yet continued dialogue shows diplomacy remains open, though breaking the stalemate requires a real shift in policy, especially from Washington, to prevent another unresolved negotiation. Consultations with regional allies and partners will now consistently continue.

📄 Security in Persian Gulf, Sea of Oman must be for all or none: IRGC
Spokesperson for Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters Lieutenant Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari said on Monday that the Iranian Armed Forces consider the defense of the country’s legal rights a natural duty. He noted that Tehran views the exercise of sovereignty within its territorial waters as an inherent right of the Iranian nation.
Zolfaghari added that, based on this principle, Iranian forces are determined to continue securing the country’s territorial waters.
He reiterated earlier statements that vessels belonging to enemy forces are not permitted to transit the Strait of Hormuz, while other ships may continue passage as long as they comply with the Iranian Armed Forces’ regulations.
The spokesperson also said that, given ongoing threats against Iran’s national security even after the cessation of recent hostilities, the country intends to maintain a permanent mechanism for overseeing the Strait of Hormuz.
He argued that recent restrictions imposed by the United States on international maritime movement are unlawful and amount to piracy.
Zolfaghari concluded that if the security of Iranian ports in the Persian Gulf or the Sea of Oman is endangered, no port in the region will remain safe.
Following the joint US-Israeli aggression against Iran on February 28, 2026, the Islamic Republic carried out retaliatory attacks and restricted the Strait of Hormuz to vessels it identified as hostile.

🔊 Iran reports massive environmental damage from US-Israeli war
The detailed report, released on Monday, outlines impacts in four key areas, including industrial infrastructure, buildings, protected ecosystems, and major oil storage sites.
Attacks targeting key production, industrial, and service units in 10 provinces, namely East Azarbaijan, Alborz, Bushehr, Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Khuzestan, Markazi, Yazd, Gilan, and Fars, resulted in environmental damage ranging from low to severe, the report said.
It also said environmental protection offices and facilities in multiple provinces were hit, with damage recorded across 20 counties. In one notable case, the Natural History and Biodiversity Museum in Karaj sustained heavy destruction, according to the report.
Some 13 protected areas including coastal zones, wetlands, and wildlife reserves in seven provinces, namely Hormuzgan, Markazi, Sistan-and-Baluchestan, Fars, Kurdistan, Alborz, and Tehran, suffered varying levels of damage—from minor to very severe, it said.
A major source of pollution stemmed from fires at oil storage facilities in Tehran Province, where more than 360,000 cubic meters of fuel burned, according to the report which said the incidents resulted in nearly one million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, along with around 4,000 tons of hazardous volatile compounds.
Separate attacks on fuel tanks in Alborz Province released an additional 53,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
The Department of Environment said it is compiling documentation to pursue the case through international bodies.

💬 Trump’s admission to arming rioters a proof of violating sovereignty of independent nations: Iran’s Rights Council
In a statement on Monday, the HCHR office noted that Trump’s acknowledgement exposes false US slogans of defending human rights and democracy, as well as proves its intent of assassination, destruction, and violation of the sovereignty of independent nations.
“We sent guns to protesters. We sent them a lot of guns ...”, the statement quoted Trump during an interview with Fox News, saying it revealed not only the true face of America’s interventionist policies towards Iran but also proved the planned, organized, and armed nature of the riots.
With strong condemnation and disgust, the HCHR said the US action, with the aim of overthrowing a government or causing unrest in another country, violated Article 2 of the UN Charter, which prohibits all members from threatening or using force against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of any country.
The statement also cited the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights that prohibit delivery of weapons, especially through separatist groups that could lead to the erosion of national security, chaos, destruction of public and private property, and loss of innocent lives.
Calling the Trump’s confession yet another political and legal scandal for the US government in recent decades, Iran’s High Council for Human Rights said it will be a basis to file legal and criminal complaints against the US president and the government.
Iran, while preserving its right to pursue this crime through all international venues, warns the US and all accomplice governments that it will never back down from seeking justice, combating state terrorism, and illegal interventions, the statement said.

“We salute all who have courageously stood against aggression and atrocities, particularly the humanitarian stance of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The world must distinguish between the aggressor and the defender,” Mohammad Reza Aref said in a message on his X account.
“Based on the UN Charter, Iran seeks nothing beyond its legal rights and the defense of its national security against any encroachment and state terrorism,” Iran first vice-president further stated.
Giving a speech in Spain parliament earlier in March, Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez warned that the Iran war represents a "far worse" scenario than the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
"This is not the same scenario as the illegal war in Iraq. We are facing something far worse. Much worse. With a potential impact that is far broader and far deeper," he told parliament.
"This time, it's an absurd and illegal war. A cruel one that sets us back from achieving our economic, social and environmental goals."
The prime minister has refused Washington's requests to use Madrid's military bases to launch strikes against Iran, despite US President Donald Trump's threat to sever trade with Spain as a result.

🔊 Iran ready for talks but only based on ‘principles and logic,’ Judiciary chief says
Ejei made the remarks during a session of the Supreme Council of Judiciary on Monday, discussing the current situation in Iran and the unsuccessful objectives of adversaries in both military and diplomatic arenas following 40 days of the US-Israeli war of aggression.
He said that the Americans, displaying their typical arrogance and haughtiness, approached the Pakistani-mediated talks in Islamabad on April 11 with their usual negotiating strategy, which involves imposing false statements and trying to obtain from the negotiation table what they could not achieve in the 40-day war.
The Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, effectively defended the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation and the achievements on the battlefield, Ejei said, adding that the Iranian delegation successfully countered the greedy and arrogant Americans, just as they had been defeated during the 40-day battlefield.
The Judiciary chief emphasized that protecting and preserving the achievements of the third defensive war is a priority for everyone, including diplomats, members of the executive branch, and officials in the Judiciary and legislative bodies.
All Iranians are protectors of the rights and achievements of the battlefield and the brave military personnel, he stressed.
Ejei emphasized the importance of maintaining national unity, stating that the Iranian nation remains united and cohesive, follows Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and is present in the field to provide comprehensive support to the Armed Forces.
The Judiciary chief also warned that the finger of Iran’s military forces is on the trigger, emphasizing that due to the temporary ceasefire, there has been no slackness or pause among the brave military servicemen.
Top officials from Iran and the United States arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to discuss a permanent end to the US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic, days after Tehran and Washington reached a two-week ceasefire. The talks ended without a deal.

🔻 National resilience shattered enemies' dream of Iran collapse: Pezeshkian
During a meeting on Monday, Pezeshkian addressed the war imposed on the Iranian nation by the United States and the Zionist regime, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic’s resilience, grounded in international laws and regulations, stems from its defensive strength and commitment to protecting national interests.
He added, “The Islamic Republic of Iran does not seek to infringe on the rights of other nations, but it will act decisively and resolutely in defending the undeniable rights of the Iranian people.”
Pezeshkian also sharply criticized the dual approach of certain so-called human rights bodies and their affiliated media, pointing out that the silence of these bodies in response to egregious acts—such as attacks on civilian sites, schools, medical centers, and relief institutions by the United States and the Zionist regime—, along with their biased positions on Iran’s domestic issues, exemplifies double standards and irresponsibility.
The president highlighted the failure of the enemies’ hostile strategies, stating, “Their assumption that the country would quickly collapse has been thwarted by the resistance and perseverance of the Iranian nation over the past forty-plus days. The threat to target our infrastructure reveals their desperation and inability to impose their will.”
While expressing appreciation for the sacrifices and dedication of the armed forces, he emphasized, “The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on its defensive capabilities and national unity, will continue to progress with strength and will further reinforce the nation’s dignity and honor.”
On February 28, following the assassination of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders, the US and Israeli regimes initiated a sweeping military campaign against Iran.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces executed a series of counterattacks over a span of 40 days, targeting American and Israeli military installations in the region and demonstrating their combat capabilities. Contrary to the expectations of a swift victory, the Iranian retaliations caused considerable damage to US and Israeli assets, prolonging the conflict and escalating tensions in the region.
In an attempt to ease hostilities, a two-week ceasefire was brokered on April 8, allowing for mediated negotiations to take place in Islamabad. Iran presented a ten-point plan during these discussions, which called for the withdrawal of US troops, the lifting of sanctions, and control over the key Strait of Hormuz. Despite engaging in 21 hours of intense talks with US negotiators in Pakistan, the Iranian delegation returned to Tehran without reaching an agreement, citing a lack of trust and excessive demands by the US.
